I feel so lucky to be part of the MinnMax crew! It was my favorite gaming podcast before I joined, and it still is! (Minus the episodes I'm on)

Love the new studio look! Much more professional. One quick suggestion that you can feel free to ignore: Tilt the camera up just slightly more. JeffM’s head is almost getting overlapped by the wall of heroes, and the entire bottom 1/3 of the screen space is empty wooden table. We need to see more of the clean and cool wall background!
@CosmicTavernАй бұрын
Good suggestion.

It's likely a lower ceiling, I'd just zoom or frame it so the side of the table isn't there.

Hearing y'all talk about MinnMax and the business behind the scenes, was incredibly inspiring. There are things that Ive wanted to do for at least 10 years but haven't due to self doubt and fear of failure. Thank you for these discussions.

So - double dipping on comments - I've been reflecting on why I like your content so much....and a big part of me was the "you just talk about your love of gaming - but also - you talk realistically about what you don't like". And that's all well and good. But I've been thinking about this more, and I keep skirting around the obvious truths. You come from a smaller (I won't say rural) environment, where there is a greater sense of connection/identity - as a core group. As someone who grew up in a "regional community" in Australia, I totally get the vibe.. the language... the interaction... and the inclusiveness. And I don't want to make my comment about regional vs big-city... because that's not what I wanted to say. I think, what I wanted to say is that there's an honesty and earnestness (interspersed with the ambition) to male this a good thing... whereas I see a lot of channels that say "f*ck it, if you don't like us yelling and chest-pumping with our ego, then you can burn in hell". Ok - that was projection... but the sub-heading is... MinnMax actually invites people in, without asking people to kneel at the internet GODs and suckle on their teat. The thing we all take sustenance from is our love of gaming. We're all gamers... even those that were paid to be the face of gaming. And that's refreshing. That said... I'm sure no one will care / read my comment... but I just wanted to put my support out into the digital ether, and wish you all the best. Hope you don't lose that identity, or inclusiveness (and I mean that in a very positive, and non-political way)

Just want to emphasize that but you guys said about positivity; so much of gaming culture focuses on the negative, and there's just too much of that out in the world right now. This channel is consistently excited and passionate about gaming in a really healthy way

Wanderer, Metro VR, Aliens VR, Legendary Tales, Arken Age, Behemoth, and there is not much upcoming for VR? Also, Meta Quest 3S for $299 (which includes Batman) - I think VR has a bright future.
@wittynicknamehereАй бұрын
Yeah, VR takes like Ben's, or literally any time Jeff Grubb weighs in on it, are laughably myopic. "I don't use this every day, so it must be useless to EVERYONE!"
@Mfire33Ай бұрын
Everyone keeps forgetting assassins creed nexus too, I do understand why some people don't like it but it's my favorite VR game and basically no one knows it even exist because they didn't do any marketing for it :(
@Mfire33Ай бұрын
Also A LOT of people still think VR means a 800$ headset that needs a 1000$ PC, again because Meta sucks at marketing

I've been a very casual, off and on listener of MixxMax since the beginning. I've liked you guys for a long time, but for whatever reason I've just never been fully seated. Today, this episode, for reasons I cannot describe, I realized I love Minnmax lol. You guys are awesome! I'm not sure why it took me so long to fully warm, maybe because I've been extremely attached to my gaming podcasts of yesteryear and it's hard to get over them. I still have a 1up Yours-shaped hole in my heart lol. Anyways, I just wanted to thank you guys for what you do, and for taking that scary first step to try something new after GI. You guys are awesome. edit: This comment came before you guys reached the anniversary portion of the show. I'm very glad I decided to listen to this episode now!

Congrats MinnMax family - for a wonderful 5 years... I've been a late-to-the-party fan (on YT) having been a watcher for maybe 1-2 years, but as the internet has slid slowly (or quickly) into the toxic world of culture wars (both ways), it's nice to take a breath of fresh air and watching "friends" talk about games. At least mostly... but then there's always the bonus videos that make sure we realise we DO LIVE IN THE MATRIX. Well done - and I'm so hoping YT really does pick up for you. You deserve ever sub; and then some. Hope to be leaving comments (among 100x more comments) for your 10yr anniversary. And possibly Ben's 10th studio house (where he ends up living in the basement, and the rest of the house is for glorious content craziness!) Edit - and then I came across the me-undies placement sponsorship.... "from the outside... In".... a true Halloween moment, that gave me cold-sweat-chills all down my back. I hope to God this isn't some sort of Backstage Pass cross-over.

For people stuck at the game breaking bug in silent hill 2 in the labyrinth like Kyle, you can bypass it. Reload your last save before you jump into the pit. Simply wait a few minutes before you jump into the pit. This allows the game to load all the assets. Hope this helps for those stuck at this part.

@Minnmax Shoot me straight, Ben: on average, how many episodes a week can we anticipate TMMS being shot live in-studio now? NO disrespect to any of the cohorts who live far from you and can't make live shows, but... like many folks I've been here since Day One of MinnMax, and TMMS started in the basement. Started being recorded with folks in-person. I miss that magic that only in-person production can truly capture. So of the ~52 weeks a year, how many of those can we hope to see have been recorded in the studio, in-person!? (crossing my fingers here..........)

I'm so glad to hear about how people felt in the office post the big layoffs. I always assumed that's how it was, but it's so validating to hear it from your end as someone who submitted internship application after internship application just to get my foot in the door to work with people like Javy and Hanson. It was a huge blow.

Love the studio! I know I am just one insignificant voice of many but I would love if you started to do more in-studio podcasts. The pandemic destroyed our expectations around this but its been to the detriment of all media. The unnatural pause between statements, the varying audio quality, the glitches. Imagine if Stadia was your only way of gaming. Acceptable but tragic. Please, please, please let's move away from the pandemic standard.
