Mino actually loves poetry. His Korean lyrics are famous for their word play and actually the English translation doesn't do justice to it. For example he uses some words that could have double meanings or the way a certain word is pronounced can also give a different meaning. He is also an artist, he has exhibited his artwork at Saatchi Gallery in the UK. Maybe the fact that he is an artists helps with his writing.

Mino on SHOW ME THE MONEY 4 was the time where he already debuted with WINNER which is why you have Taeyang featuring in his stage performance. By this point in time, Mino has already performed in concerts and tours as a WINNER member and has already been on a YG Family Concert. Him joining SMTM is a way to tell the underground rap scene that just because he became an idol rapper does not mean his skills decreased and he is still the Mino aka Hugeboy Mino that the underground rap scene knew before he became an idol.

When I first became a fan of Mino I was a bit confused and shocked. It was so difficult to read him because outside the stage, particularly on variety shows, he's softer, shy and funny. And on vlive, when he talks to the fans, he's more serious and contemplative. You kinda see how deep his thoughts run and he's letting some of it peek through. Like he reads us some of his favorite poems. You've mentioned someone needs to have some mastery of the language to write lyrics like him and I think that's where his love for poetry comes in. He loves how poems contain a hundred thoughts in just a few words. That's why his lyrics are so difficult to interpret and it also makes me wish I knew Korean so I can appreciate it more. Mino as a person is just so complex. For my suggestions for future videos: MINO: I want you to react to his B-sides because he has tons of different sides to him that he hasn't shown on his title tracks. I recommend Lost In A Crowd, Hop In, Daylight, Alarm, Sunrise, andTurn Off The Light. These are mostly his slower and chill songs. They're my fave! SEUNGYOON: PREQUEL videos (he tells his story prior to releasing PAGE), PAGE album reaction (plus live stages of 365, Iyah, and the rest are concert vids so I'm not sure about that but OBVIOUS is one of my favorite stages in his solo concert!), Haebaragi with love (cover) HOONY: he only has two solo songs so far, Flamenco and Seranade. For Hoony I recommend watching his live stages especially FLAMENCO during THE CIRCLE concert. He shines the most when he's performing on stage. JINU: he has two solos, Call Anytime and Dduk, which was written by Yoon for him. He first performed DDUK at THE CIRCLE concert. WINNER: Winner Over Flowers is a must watch! But you probably won't be able to post them here but they're fun! Please watch WINNER TV after Who Is Next. Just wanted to share that my favorite performance of Runaway was his live performance in Dingo. It's with a live band, and as an additional, he also performed his other song Love and a boy. Just perfect.

Mino will be showing another side of him for the first time, as a movie actor, on August 26th when Seoul Vibe is released on Netflix. He did the OST and appeared on the trailer but we don't know if his appearance is just 5 seconds or less. I suggest you try to see his tv comedian side too because it's so much fun. He's part of the cast of New Journey to the West (starting from season 2.5) and its spinoffs Kang's Kitchen, Winner Over Flowers Australia-shows he won with his hand and now famous finger, as well as its Producer/Director's (Na PD, one of the most prominent tv producers in korea) youtube series Mapo Hipster with his best friend PO of Block B, Mino's pilot (show he won from a bet) and Mino's Lost. You can see a lot of his personality and his relationships with people he works with through these shows. I also want to suggest checking out his performance in a then very famous but now defunct tv show Infinite Challenge. The song he wrote and performed with comedian Haha, titled Shoot, is a very rare time he gets political in the most mainstream and risky way. You can google all the analyses, translations/interpretations people posted on the internet about his lyrics to understand it better. Also try his song with Yoon on the OST of Prison Playbook, The Door. There's only one live concert performance i can find. The song he composed and performed with veteran actress Moon Hee Kyung, Don't Call Me Mama, was amazing too. It was for a hiphop tv show for grandmas and that actress, who usually plays mommy roles on tv was so fond of him because for the first time in her life, she earned royalties because of him as she was credited as a lyricist too.

During SMTM (when fear was released) Winner had already debuted, they were just on hiatus at the time. Also before Mino joined YG, he was first an underground rapper, before joining KQ entertainment and training with a group called Block B, where he became good friends with all the members. He then left that agency due to a disagreement about his contract, before joining a small company and debuting in a Ballard group called BoM. However, he was forced into doing ballads and not rapping like he wanted to, and the company did not give him credits or royalties for any of the songs he wrote for them (the 'shitty directors' that he said used him in Fear) After this he then joined YG as his last resort. Also, people often say that GD is like Minos father in YG, as their styles are in some ways similar

I struggled to find a bias for almost 2 years into stanning them and even if I finally picked Seunghoon as my official bias. I always get swayed with whoever active at the moment. Mino go on SMTM 4 just to prove himself. At that time In korea, idol rappers have a really bad reputation in the hiphop scene except for few people like GD and maybe TOP to a lesser extent. That's one of the motivation why Mino go on the show, to show those rappers that he is still the same talented rapper before he become an idol and actually improved.

I don’t want to overwhelm you, but I also don’t want to miss anything and leave this comment as a “master list” of sorts. There’s so many sides to Mino beyond being a rapper and producer. You have:
 Mino the Artist 🎨 There's tons of content of Mino drawing and painting, but ff you want to really get to know Mino as the artist, a good place to start is this show called Human Intelligence where he met renowned illustrator Kim Jungi. They spent the day together discussing Mino's whole art journey. At the end of the show, they put on a live art performance where Mino drew his life journey. Since then, Mino’s art talents have been featured on various shows. He goes on vlive for 4+ hours just painting. Eventually he caught people's attention and he was able to debut at OHNIM the artist and show his work in different galleries. Mino's also mentioned he got into painting and art because he found he couldn't express everything in music and lyrics, so he took to the canvas/paper instead. Mino the Creative 💪🏼 During his XX album promos, Mino painted his own Music Video set and even tailored outfits for his backup dancers. During his TAKE album promos, Mino also customized his backup dancers outfits. This was also around the same time he officially debuted as an artist. For his latest album, "To Infinity.", Mino created art to match each of the tracks in the album and held an exhibit for fans. 

Mino the Student 📚 Okay he’s not enrolled anywhere, but he loves to deep dive into different things and topics! Mino was on a show called Friday Joy Package. The show invited professors and experts in different fields and Mino was the “top student”. One of the professors even said Mino still reaches out to him to ask him questions. Mino the Lyricist/Writer ✍🏻 Mino is known to always carry a notebook and art supplies with him and that's cause he takes notes of all his ideas and thoughts. There's a video of him on Winner's channel show all the equipment he brought with him for an overnight stay. He's also consistent at keeping a diary, through the years of content we have of him, you'll always find Mino writing and documenting his thoughts for the day. Yes WINNER's Mino and Soloist Mino are indeed two different personalities, WINNER are his family, with them he feels at home, at ease and he loves them and he becomes a soft squishy baby bear around them and that's how his real life personality, he is very soft hearted kind humble sweet and beautiful person in real life, that's why the music he makes with WINNER or raps he writes for WINNER's songs reflects his real life personality, and WINNER's music is mostly fun light summery healing and playful kind of music that's why he writes raps which is suitable for those songs meanwhile in his solo stuff he doesn't holds back anything, like as soloist Mino brings out his raw authentic darker and deeper part of his soul which is usually hidden when he is surrounded by his loved ones, like in his solo stuff he pours out every bit of emotion and thoughts into it. like you pointed out before Mino's mind is very complex and he is a deep thinker and he is very much interested in poetry and art (he is actually a professional painter, yes he paints and his paintings are often showcased in exhibitions), this influences his music a lot, he is a genius tbh, his word plays are usually so quirky complex and hard that it leaves people stunned and impressed, he is very intelligent and he is always a curious learner, he never stops learning new stuff or getting into new hobbies or interests, he is someone who constantly grows and constantly looking forward to exploring different things, which is why he is so creative so talented. in another video I comment about how Mino forced his voice to sound more husky and deep ( like TOP and Bobby style), when you go to watch the Born Hate MV by Epic High you will get it which I'm saying even more compared to his version of the killing voice (or verse). following him since the beginning I'm glad to see he's found success in his own style of rapping, without needing strength. besides that I'm always impressed by how Mino has control over his body, it's beautiful to see him in a performance because you can feel that he knows what he's singing (I think this has a lot to do with the fact that he actually wrote the lyrics). mino is without a doubt a complete artist.
