Drums weren't usual in any of djangos music and electronic sound may have been uncommon in 40's France so I still wonder what he may have thought of it. Fairly certain an Am pentatonic was not his only scale as a jazz melodic minor and harmonic minors were also utilised.

I think it's more A minor 6 (phrygian, but more used as arpeggio),Dm6 used the same way, and maybe Dim scales on E (D dim and iTs inversions- F dim,G#dim, B dim). For E7 chord E7/9 arpeggio and scale works fine)

If you don't know much in the way of arpeggios or playing with outside sound just stick to the A harmonic minor and the A Hungarian gypsy for this song.

just use am7 dm7 and e7, harmonic minor on am7 or also dm7, also natural minor, can also naturally use the blues minor pentatonic scale, use Db diminished to pass on Dm7, on E7 you can play the dominant scale, or do a tritone sub to a Bb7, or use E altered scale down and E dominant up always works. There are of course much more options. Practically whole chromatics, because it can get really open and out of key sounding.
