Is there anything that Gretchen can't play? So brilliant, so Gretchen, yet honoring those who came before. You will always be one of my favourite guitarists, regardless of gender.

Anyone that can play so cleanly, so well-articulated, and virtuosic on those big heavy gauge bronze acoustic strings, then go on to shred it up with equal grace on electric has my complete respect! Well-done! What a great rendition of that song! Bravo!

@@gretchenmenn Ms Menn you have helped rekindle my commitment to improving on guitar. Also I enjoy following your journey as musician. Your key points for musicians from your interviews are something I refer to all the time. Kind of like Jordan Peterson's 12 Rules but for musicians!

@@gretchenmenn Also warmest compliments from my side - just one question: someone commented on you using "bronze acoustic" strings on the part you play on the acoustic guitar. Am I wrong by assuming, that the strings you use are NOT bronze? They look like regular steel to me in the video, possibly flat wound. Please reply.

Wow! I used to listen to those old records with my father ..He loved Jazz and the Hot Club from France so much and as a kid my best moments were those when he turned on the Winco player and we listened to Music..He inspired me my love for Music I believe... I could spend hours and hours by the radio or the music player..Later on I came into Rock music..but my first memories are those of Jazz recordings...and great musicians.. Thanks Gretchen for your nice playing, and for bringing this Music back to my memory! Sorry it´s been a long time since I didn´t enter Facebook, but I don´t forget you ! Lovings from Argentina..

You are like a fairy, and your guitar is a magic wand, with which you create musical magic and transfer the listener from a tough and often cruel reality to a world of warm colors and harmonies, a world filled with jazz intonations and swinging phrases, a world in which is cozy and comfortable, a world in which you want to come back again and again. Great!

I had almost forgotten about you until I saw Steph shooting her mouth off and said to myself: "Steph, you may have that fancy reissue doubleneck, but Gretchen completely blows you away" and so I watched a couple of Zeparella videos and then "Oh she's got some originals now too, hmmmm (click...) oh Wow, what cool stuff, let's jam, where's my acoustic and Bic lighter slide"... Thanks for the jam, that was fun! Dang, your fingering and picking is deadly accurate, every note clean and pure. I on the other hand, cheat, using pulls, hammers, bends and other assorted forms of FAKE notes (Hence the slide LOL!)
