Nice now you gotta super-charge your income and work like you never have before. I've always invested for the future but it really hit home when I saw this old guy the other day who had to struggle and get assistance to get out of his car. We can't work like we're young forever. Eventually, we'll have to slow down.

40 here. I have a couple thousand in savings and it took me over a year just to get that with increasing rent, groceries etc. Had to reexamine my budget and cut costs where I could. Going to be talking to a financial advisor later on to figure out if I can invest in SOMETHING that'll have an okay return so I'm not 70 and still having to work. Wish my parents and granddad told me about this stuff. But they came from jobs (and an era) where pensions existed.

Let me explain today’s problem with capitalism. It’s not really capitalism. Why capitalism works is because it makes companies compete with one another to provide the best experience/item/whatever for the customer. Now-a-days companies take away to make more money. They don’t IMPROVE to make more, they reduce the quality to make more (see BMW’s subscription heated seats or e6’s everything). They can only do this when they will not be undercut by other companies… they aren’t because companies have reduced in number. It’s become an oligarchical system where our businesses pay off our politicians in order to ensure you CANT compete. First time ever, Forbes top 30 under 30, not a one of them built their own wealth. All of them inherited it. It’s easy to hate this system. It flies in the face of the American spirit where working hard will provide you with the American dream.
