What I have observed through my journey is that it worked initially in grade 1then it stopped working...then I added kera xl ,capixyl... they worked for some time..then again stopped working!!! I know thousand people to whom minoxidil never worked...but when I complained to the dermatologist they don't just believe it.But when I added topical minoxidil+finasteride , hair fall didn't stop but the quality of the hair become good.in the advance stage anything topical doesn't work as a standalone... until it is adjunct with strong oral . But Minox in the long run in maximum case stop working as AGA is a progressive condition and in USA there is some test done ( I forgot the name) to see whether the patient would response to the topical minoxidil or not.

well if u give priority to sex life and is concerned about it. avoid Finasteride. just go with weapon of scalp minoxidil. there is no way to avoid side effects. rest up to you. DHT is produced in prostrate and testis. both are important parts in enjoying good sex life and can be villan if DHT produced more and starts shrinking hair follicles. (: and don't stop application of minoxidil. once you stop these chemical fertilizers. hairs roots will start dying due to want of nutrients which they are not getting mechanically through blood as excess DHT jams the highway. so they the hair roots follicles are wholely solely dependent of human manual application of fertilizers. minoxidil. don't over use dosage of minoxidil. minoxidil is actually medicine of hypertension. but during its trials it was found growing thick hairs was one of its side effects. hence after many research trials FDA APPROVAL was given so like this this Jugaad medicine called as minoxidil came as a blessing for balding men's out there.
