I used Minoxidil at 15 after massive hair loss after a surgery. I stopped using it 3 months after I turned 16. I am now 18 and have had PFS-like side effects for 2 years now. All the Sexual, physical, and mental problems. I reccomend the CDnuts protocol, it’s working for me and I’m 8 months in.

Thanks for sharing your experience I tried 5% minoxidil and the first time I put it on I could tell it was doing something very weird to my body overall and was definitely not just on the topical level but was coursing though my body in a weird way. I said fuck this I'll go bald af if I have to vs use this more. I am so relieved I did because, at least for my body, I could tell it was going to cause some serious issues if I kept using it. It definitely didn't feel like something anyone should want coursing through that body imo 💁 Sorry you're going through all that but glad you're sharing it so others can see it an know the risks

this sounds exactly like what happened to me around the same time, and I turned out to have had long covid plus a lot of anxiety. I went down the rabbit holes of MS, Parkinson's, Lupus etc. and what helped me the most in the end was therapy. @@Skkrch why? Just because only a minority are more sensitive and effected worse? Do you know how Minoxidil actually fights hairloss? No. No one does, in fact. It being a potassium channel opener isn't specific enough and it being a vasodilator surely isn't how or we could all just fight hair loss with more bLuDfLoW. More likely, all of the "alternative" hairloss treatments to Finasteride are not true alternatives at all. They all probably fight *androgenic* alopecia (hairloss) with *anti-androgens*.

Also, do not stress. Psychology translates a lot of what these guys are failing to elaborate for themselves. They devalue the experience of someone they disagree with as most likely in their most formative years something they were passionate about has been devalued. They now project that experience as a form of compensation. They've clearly had a different experience with minoxidil. Understandable. Side effects are very rare. As they have had a positive experience, especially in an area such as body image. Which commonly harbours a lot of insecurity and self loathing, they have now grown an attachment. Understandably. Thus they are passionate. The issue here is not that they are failing to defend something they're passionate about in an ill manner but more so how they allow themselves to react poorly in a scenario they disagree with. And their need to "defend" their experience (not the product) is also a form of insecurity and selfishness. They're scared of the possibility that the claims are true (which they indeed are) They deny the experience as they fear it for themselves. And they fear the claims could potentially result in something they can obtain becoming unattainable. No matter the harm on someone else. This alone is a big factor in the philosophy of medicine. Sacrifice one to save the many. Basically, they are idiots that provide zero evidence and project the experience of others onto themselves due to their own insecurity making them hyper-sensitive. I could go on but you get the point. Thousands of anecdotal reports hold merit on their own whether they choose to acknowledge that or not. No harm, no foul. Only a bunch of fools.

Hey, yes I've spoken to many with tremors from minoxidil. Mine are *gone* but im not sure what that means tbh. I think they're just a result of the anxiety and honestly nothing to worry about. But yeah a lot of my symptoms are better, the occasional twitch, ect. But nothing to worry about. It seems that most people twitch, ect. So I think whatever is happening is more of a "spectrum" sort of thing and not something I'd worry about. You're completely fine.

@@postminoxidilsyndrome8078 Thank you so much for your swift response. Really appreciate it. Can I ask how long did it take in your case for the tremors to subside? Like 2 months? 3 months? Because you are the only person who understands my problem since you had the tremors. My relative is a neurologist and he told me that this could be rabbit syndrome due to the drug but since I study abroad, my family insists I should see a neurologist in person. I definitely started with jaw tremors and then I think it affected both my hands but right now, I just have tremors in my left hand. @postminoxidilsyndrome8078
@postminoxidilsyndrome8078 Жыл бұрын
It took time is all I can really say. The more you "monitor" it the more it will be there kind of thing. I remember 3 years ago when I was at work and my hand and jaw were both tremoring. I cant say exactkey when it stopped as it was always erratic. But I'd say maybe like 2 years? I thought it was ALS or something but had all the tests. Multiple times. Nothing more than an excited brain. It will go away. Just relax. Minox triggers something to do with anxiety but we just don't know what... thats in regards to not just your mind but your body. I remember catching a flight (I HATE flying and was really scared) and my whole body started tremoring like crazy. That day I knew it wasn't nothing serious and it was just my body playing tricks and I was fine. And now it's *gone* but if it came back I wouldn't be surprised... nor concerned. The brain just does werid shit. I'd HIGHLY recommend watching testimonies of people with BFS (BENIGN FASCICULATION SYNDROME) you will quickly realise it's nothing to worry about and twitching can start from a small panic attack, pregnancy, a panic attack or sometimes nothing at all. The brain is just werid. And minox must just apply some kind of stress is my theory. Many guys have twitching even without the horrendous sexual sides. (Which I never recovered unfortunately)

Hi mate, just came across your video. I've got similar side effects as you and I was wondering how have you been doing lately? I was on minoxidil for about 4 months. The first symptoms I have experienced were heart issues such as arythmia, shortness of breath and terrible brain fog (that was still when I was using minox). About 2 months (around October 2020) after that I have noticed floaters in my vision, pretty adverse, which were followed by tinnutis in both ears and involuntary muscle twitching all over my body. January 2021 was probably the worst month overall for me when all the symptoms were their worst and honestly my life was hell. I have seen a few doctors, opthalmologists for the vision issues (alongside floaters my vision worsened significantly as well pretty rapidly), various blood tests and two neurlogists. Yet again, none of them have found anything out of ordinary in tests just like in your case. I stopped talking to doctors mid-2021 because honestly it was going nowhere and I seemed like a waste of time and money. As of today, while pretty much all of the symptoms I mentioned are still there (and some of which I haven't brought up here), a lot of them have improved. Tinnitus, the ringing in my ears is there, but way more quiet than back in the day, less floaters to the point I don't notice them or barely notice them most of the time (I believe you can get used to them to some extent, they were exteremely annoying at the start) and other symptoms have improves as well. The one that's been the most persistent are the muscle spasms. Some of them are pretty obvious like eyelids, pecs, arms or thighs. But then again there are crazy ones like sides of my head, jaw, ribs. For some time some of my fingers were twitching rapidly to the sides on occasion, which actually seemed incredibly scary, I have never seen something like this before. And the latest symptom I have noticed is the joints issues you also seem to have. For me the worst one is my neck. At times, especially when it started, I would be laying down in my bed, head on the pillow and my neck was clicking and cracking. It is actually still happening to this day, but not nearly as bad. I am very curious how are you now. Summarizing, all my symptoms that have appeared are still there to some extent, but almost all of them have improved significantly over a ~year. I am hoping you have seen some improvements as well and if so I am curious if you have found something that helped you? All the best, hope you see that message and we can have a chat mate.

i believe I’ve healed now. I had to get my hormones checked and I believe my estrogen was high so I lowered that and also took some 5ar activator to get the hormones back in sync again. Been 2 weeks and been having sexual intercourse and masterbating whiles also doing body weight exercises everyday basically So basically what i had to do; Lower estrogen Activate 5ar ( so testosterone can transfer into dht and not more estrogen) & body weight workouts

@GLOBAL FINESSE 5ar is what your body has naturally and turn testosterone to dht. However minoxidil is a 5ar inhibitors meaning it shuts down the 5ar and stop testosterone from turning into dht. So for a short period you’ll have high testosterone but shortly after that will be shadowed by high estrogen

@@postminoxidilsyndrome8078Hmm. That sounds like a good point. Why do you say it is anti-androgen? This is some stuff I found: Some people believe that saw palmetto can improve libido by reducing testosterone breakdown, and there is some evidence to support this (Could this be what you meant about it being anti-androgen?) One study reported in the journal Urologia Internationalis found that men using saw palmetto were experiencing improved sexual function. In the study, which involved 120 men with enlarged prostate glands, researchers monitored the following over a 2-year period: urine flow blood prostate-specific antigen (PSA) prostate symptoms erectile function quality of life They found that saw palmetto improved prostate symptoms and sexual function after 2 years. This improvement was significant, especially in the first year. I don’t doubt what you’re saying at all. What do you think, in your estimation, are the percentage of people getting these negative effects from Saw Palmetto. I’ve taken it for better erections in the past, and hair regrow the and, personally, I believe it had that very effect.
