Great video! That unit is in excellent condition. That cute little dog seemed to be very pleased with it too! :)

I think the filter material in front of the evaporator (the output) is to keep water droplets from blowing out into the room. My 61 Thunderbird had a wire mesh in front of the evaporator for that reason because the air left the evaporator and blew right into the passenger compartment.

Such a great find. I say dont install and run this as i say kerp it as a muesuim piece since its so hard to find one in this condition. I usually call tbese superrust lol. I think this was hardly used because they may of went to central air, and absndoned this window unit. Hope you find the grille for it.

Outstanding unit! It is listed in the 1969 AHAM directory, but it may also be in the one from 1968. (I don't know when they switched from the RF... model numbering to the AGF... type. I have 1966 thru 1974 directories, except I'm missing 1968.) GE made the 11,000 BTU RF-606A Filter Blower Superline model in 1966 and 1967. I saw that the power cord was cut off. Wonder why it had a parallel plug instead of a tandem for a 230V unit.

Looked like a great buying experience. Mint no rust machine, seller seems cool and even a little dog! 10/10. hope he finds the front cover just for originality sake. I'm all for using the vintage units I collect daily but this ones so fresh and hard to find in good shape I'd really have to think it over and be very selective on where to install. I have a 6k KeepRite window unit from the mid 80s that has that "toilet bowl wax" on the bottoms on the condenser coil end plates. Seems to work well against corrosion. Earlier versions of this unit I come across usually that metals totally gone.

@@FixYourFans a Superthrust of this age in that condition is 1 in 1000. Thats why im thinking downstairs where itll see very little use and will be completely out of the elements.
