EDIT Realised I didn't ever set up any of these tracks to have midi outputs in the first place... here are the source MIDI tracks I used.
It's here boys, the full thing minus what I personally couldn't do (Mostly drum solos, sorry Akira Jimbo, I have failed you)

Figured id make a pinned comment for the inquisitive lot; This was made from a couple of pre-existing midis, I had to hand make probably about a third of it and the only one with absolutely no tweaking is time limit, most of my work went into humanizing the instruments(again, only song with no tweaks is time limit), so you wont find these midis in this exact state in the wild, sorry bois! Also this will be the AMA thread if anyone is wanting to ask stuff, I have no idea if I should put this on SoundCloud and upload the midis, the sound cloud reason is copyright, the midis is because I'm secretly still working on them!

You nailed it, I've listened to the original so many times and it's almost spot on. Really enjoyable listen, thanks! It was a magical moment when having the realization that the beloved video game music we grew up with, fit into an already existing genre, too. Would you ever consider using other soundfonts, like perhaps sonic 1, 2, 3 Genesis era?
@TestSubjectQWTD
@TestSubjectQWTD Жыл бұрын
@@Apocalypse4162 I mean, I'm currently working on "Swear but every copy is personalised" don't know if I'll dip into other fonts, I was thinking of doing an Ocarina of time one for something else, but other than this final copy of swear my work on mint jams I think will be done. also there is one midnight rendezvous cover in the style of sonic/genesis that is a banger as well.
@LexouDuck
@LexouDuck Жыл бұрын
Ah, so it was indeed my transcription of Swear that i recognized - the handful of wrong notes during the piano solo made it obvious, since my version had the exact same wrong notes (since i made that MIDI using GuitarPro way back in 2013, there was a pitch limit that made it so i couldnt easily notate the 3 highest notes of the piano solo). In fact, since my MIDI transcription of Swear is based on the "Cross Point" album version of the song, you could've/should've altered it to make it closer to the Mint Jams version, since that version is pretty different, it has a neat drum solo and fast piano-only section ! In any case, it's not really necessary but it'd be nice if you could credit the names of the folks who made these MIDI transcriptions somewhere (like, in the video description) - these things take quite a bit of time to make, as you've seen for yourself !

I can confirm that (at least is the case with me playing Take Me during an interlude on-stream) you *still* get copyright claims from Casiopea's label if you play these, as they are counted as cover versions of the main melody and you will enter revenue sharing with them, so just a heads up for folks hoping to do exactly that. They'd probably need to be too quiet to make it not worth using if you're going to use them, and context might be important.

I AM TRULY IN SHOCK AND AWE of this album rendition. The fusion of Casiopeia's Mint Jams album with the Super Mario 64 sound font is simply mind-blowing. As a jazz fusion enjoyer especially in the likes of T-square and casiopea, this album holds a special place in my heart, and seeing it combined with my childhood favorite, Super Mario 64, is pure magic. The way the intricate jazz melodies blend with the nostalgic sound effects from the game creates a unique and emotionally captivating experience. It's amazing how music has the power to transport us back in time while also pulling us out of our darkest moments. This album has been a beacon of light for me during some challenging times, and it's incredibly comforting to have a childhood classic like Super Mario 64 intertwined with it. Every note, every beat, and every Mario-inspired sound effect in this mix brings back waves of nostalgia, reminding me of endless hours spent exploring Mario's world and now offering solace and joy in the present. It's an amalgamation of two worlds that have left an indelible mark on my life. Thank you so much for creating this masterpiece and sharing it with the world. It's a testament to the power of music and the beautiful connections it can create. This video is a true work of art, and it will continue to touch the hearts of many, just like it did for me. Forever grateful!

Mint Jams is one of my favorite albums that I have found totally at random on KZbin. And now here it is with my kids favorite Nintendo character, Yoshi.

This is fantastic! As these Mario64 videos have been coming out, I immediately had the idea of jumping in and figuring a way to do Casiopea or Mint Jams. Seems like someone got to it first!

I've listened to the original album while playing a couple of my favorite racing games a few times, and it's pretty damn helpful. Wonder what this'll do for my performance?
