Congratulations!!!!!! You just completed the greatest run in Marvel Comics (greatest run of them all IMO)!!!! I know how this feels. I bought my ASM #1 (5.0 CBCS got great deal) over 5 years ago completing my ASM run (I still have all of them). I started my journey on ASM in 1980 buying #208 at grocery store. I was 9 years old. That thrill of buying #1 will never go away.

I have # 95 - 600, before I gave up the monthly floppies forever in lieu of the trades / hardcover collections. I also have the complete Marvel Masterworks collection, which satisfies that 60s and 70s itch.

Congratulations, it's a great feeling of accomplishment. The first time I got a run complete was in 1972 at NYC comic con. I bought all of the Nick Fury Agent of Shield, Strange Tales 135 up. Got Steranko's autograph.

Well done James. I know the feeling, it took me 15 years to complete my Conan The Barbarian collection - and #1 was not the last one I needed nor the most expensive, that was the lower print run #3. I can still remember my elation and sense of achievement. I still have them and, like you, I read every one.

I got a big collection back in 93 that had ASM 1-59 in it, I sat that evening and read every one of them. Amazing experience for sure. Congrats man! loved the video.

In 1967 in the Philippines I had a 6th grade classmate who lived 2 blocks from me. Our dads were US Navy veterans so we had a lot in common. He had a complete run of ASM through #50 up to that point and he let me take the whole stack home to read during the summer. Imagine a 12 year old carrying ASM 1-50 2 blocks in the Philippines in 1967. We both ended up serving in the navy ourselves. In 1986 I had a co-worker whose brother had just finished a complete run of ASM up to that point. My second ever slab was AF-15 in 2009. Just before the pandemic I attempted to collect ASM 1-50 in slabs but only got 50% before the pandemic prices made me stop.

I must say that i like you Channel more now after hearing that you actually read the early issues. To be perfectly clear i liked you Channel before your video, however, now you are doing What i love about these old comics, actually Reading them as they were intended instead of Reading omnibuses (which i have a lot of). Good for you on the collection, you achieved a lot of collectors dream.

I had a set of #1-300 but #1 was the silver age reprint. Sold off #1-50....about only of original Marvels I really regret selling, beside FF but still have scattered issues that were extras. Enjoy viewing. They are all reprinted :-)

It’s always nice to sit and read a run after you finish collecting it. I did that once I finished collecting Moon knight volume 1 because I never read the run’s second half. And I plan to read all 60 issues of volume 3 once I finish getting those last 20 or so issues

I’ve been working on a similar run, and currently have a GRR #1, and 17-75 completed. From 76-120 I am missing only 6 issues, and then have 121-401 completed. I don’t know if I will ever own actual copies of ASM 1-16, but a guy can dream, can’t he? Congrats on your accomplishment!

Seriously well done. Unless I win the lottery i don't think I'll complete mine. I'm missing 3-8, 10,12,15, 20. Then I have a complete run from 21-600. Nos 10 and 8 I could probably afford in lower grade, or if I sold most of the rest of my comic collection i could buy those missing issues.

thats been a goal of mine as well. I currently have about 150 issues out of the 440 issues, so have a ways to go. Also focusing on his secondary titles like Marvel Team-Up, Specatacular Spider-Man, and Web of Spider-Man. And of course, I read whatever I add to the collection
