So much potential & unique ideas they could've used! Instead they placed these movies within a contemporary setting! Hollywood had a treasure trove of ideas & not only did they not bother with them; it seams they flatout IGNORED them!!! & instead we've got wasted potential! & in AVP Requiem's case with the exception of the Predator character; the rest of the cast (no fault of the actors/actresses) it's a case of "8 Deadliest Words"

The multiplayer was even better. Fantastic game, one of the best mutiplayer experiences. AvP 2010 is a decent game, but felt like a downgrade after AvP2. I cant agree with you about liking AVPR as a good movie but calling it a guilty pleasure is understandable. In a way I kind of agree that it's not as bad as Alien Covenant. AVPR is absolute trash but Alien Covenant goes back and undoes the whole backstory for the aliens. Wasn't it Ridley Scott that said the xenomorphs eggs were originally being transported by the Space Jockeys as a biological weapon? I really liked that idea. Alien Covenant pretty much shat on that idea.
@Christolclear1012 жыл бұрын
@@RisingBeast00 all I said was I enjoyed it, I never said it was a good movie. 😄 The way I see AVPR and Covenant is similar to what James Rolfe from Cinemassacre said when comparing Alien 3 to Resurrection: “Alien 3 went for artistic tone, and failed. Alien Resurrection went for summer blockbuster trash, and succeeded.” And that’s basically how I would compare Covenant to AVPR: Covenant went for artistic tone, and failed, while AVPR went for B-Slasher entertainment trash, and succeeded.

I’m not familiar with xenomorph biology but how was the predalien able to procreate via oviposition, I thought only queens could lay eggs
@SharKwORDT952 жыл бұрын
As a professional nerd, I can help. Xenomorphs have 2 forms of reproduction: laying eggs and converting living hosts into eggs. Converting the host into an egg is rumored to bypass needing a facehugger since the DNA the Xeno gets from the egg itself is sufficient to make a xenomorph from the get go. I say that it’s rumored because Ridley Scott likes pretending this doesn’t exist anymore so it’s only shown secondhand or though technically non canonical media according to Scott. Either way, the predalien used a unique form of that kind of reproduction that works by literally attaching a Xenomorph fetus to an infant and getting them to grow like that. It’s unclear if the predalien was the only one that could reproduce that fast because of its DNA being hybridized with the Predator DNA, but the one thing for sure is that the Predalien was definitely slated to become a queen if left unchecked.

uh, no. and yes the Predalien should have been seen more, but the problem was the setting and the excessive screen time given to the human characters who should not have been in the movie at all. it should have taken place on the Predator ship, floating in space. no sausage lover's pizza, no bullies picking on pizza boy, no pizza boy is late to work, no pizza boy has a crush, no pizza boy is flirting, no pizza boy lets his keys get taken and thrown in the drain because he doesn't know the most basic self defense.

Considering all we know about the Aliens in the lore, its likely he didn't kill any of the aliens, since they can regenerate even after being crushed & dropped from super high distances in the air, as Riddle Scott stated in Covenant, and that compliments the lore, as we see from the Aliens perspective in AvP:Extinction & ALiens Colonial Marines, they do have powerful regenerate abilities, they have to be totally destroyed OR significant head destruction probably head removal also.

one space trucker DID kill them. and she did it again after becoming a dick worker when the Marines couldn't get the job done. pretty sure the pizza boy was nearly dead by the end of the movie. but his badass older brother and the soldier that were partnered up managed to survive long enough for the predator to do 99% of the work for them.

What gets me about the Alien vs. Predator movies is how much they have in common with Resident Evil. In the first Resident Evil movie (which was also directed by Paul W.S. In Resident Evil 2, characters have to leave Raccoon City before it's destroyed; in AvP 2, the same thing happens but in a different city.
