The Indiana Jones and Bond movies were TV staples when I was growing up. When they came on you had to adjust your schedule to make sure you were home to watch them. You had to commit to watching something but then again they were worth watching. I do watch your videos and give them a thumbs up but I don't comment enough. It's been 6 years since I had my cancer and even though I was lucky with my surgery, treatments and the support I got there were some tougher moments too. I had a lot of spare time on my hands and there were 4 channels that I watched a lot that time... yours was one of them. I have said this before and I hope you've seen these messages, I don't want to put any emotional weight you or make you uncomfortable. I hope that this message finds someone who can connect with it. I'm not going to say your channel saved my life or anything because it's not like that. But it did help keep me positive on those tougher days. Funny, interesting and a lot of respect. You give us that nostalgia hit and never phone it in, you put in that effort. Thanks for the entertainment and thanks for making those times easier. The movie had one of the best feel good endings of all time. You start with such heavy themes like mass starvation, theft of culture artifacts by a more powerful group, cults, torture, and kidnapping, abuse, and slavery. With her screaming true almost the whole movie had and still has me in stitches when I watch it 😂 And yes with The Last Crusade as the perfect ending of the trilogy. I was however sad that Short Round never returned or even was talked about again. The fourth movie was so dissapointing that I'm not even bothered to watch the last one. Here's a good idea for a future Minty Comedic Arts episode: *10 THINGS - JAWS 3-D: The Versions* *You Never Seen* Facts about the film: • Originally, the filmmakers planned to have very few 3-D "pop-out" effects in the film. But studio execs pressured them to add more, fearing that the audience would be leaving the cinema disappointed and spread bad word-of -mouth about the 3-D being just used for depth. • The first 3-D cameras they intended to use were Optimax, but it was rejected after the footage they had filmed were deemed unusable as the cameras had serious misalignment issues. They next went with StereoVision 3-D cameras, which were acceptable enough to be used to film 2nd Unit shots throughout production. • The final 3-D camera they went with were ArriVision, which were capable of photographing 3-D movies in color with a single camera and a single strip of film. The technique used a split twin-lens adapter fitted in the camera which divides the 35mm frame in half along the middle. This captures the "left-eye" image on top of the "right- eye" image, a technique that's known as "over/under". Unfortunately, when the film was shown on TV and released on VHS/ DVD, the film was seen with only the "left-eye" image which resulted in a poor 16mm-film quality. • *"JAWS 3-D"* also was the first film to have its visual effects shots being composited in video equipment, which was quicker and more flexible than the traditional process of optical printing. The vast majority of composited shots were done by Private Stock Effects. While the video equipment used in the film were of low resolution, resulting in the image looking soft, it was deemed at the time acceptable as the VFX shots were underwater. However at the last minute, producer Alan Lansburg changed his mind and he ordered for the work to be re-done in the traditional process, and PSE was replaced by Praxis Film Works. More than two-thirds of the original composited shots were cut from the film, and the rest were simplified to make them easier to complete via optical printing. Unfortunately, certain scenes in the final film (like when Mama Jaws flooded the underwater tunnels) were left unfinished, resulting in blank greenscreens being visible for the audience to see. • The original cut of the film was just a minute shy of being two hours long, but 20 minutes of footage was cut from the film. Some of the film's deleted scenes & alternate takes were featured in a compliation of clips from a low-quality workprint or the 1983 documentary: *"SHARKS DON'T DIE: The Making of JAWS 3-D".* • In one of the original scripts of the film, Kelly Ann Bukowski & Sean Brody were attacked by Mama Jaws while they riding in a underwater gondola that rose from the water resulting in Kelly's death, and later in the script, Mike Brody was in a underwater chase and swam from his sub to a shipwreck (in a sequence that was later used in the fourth film: *"JAWS: The Revenge").* • Calvin Bouchard originally was to die in the film, but the filmmakers liked Louis Gossett, Jr.'s performance so much, that they changed it for him to live, which is why he's swimming away to safety with an injured SeaWorld technician in hand.

This is my favorite Indy film too! As a kid, playground discussions of this film were always the most animated and spirited. Just like when I was in kindergarten and my most lively conversations were about Empire Strikes Back, as opposed to A New Hope. As an Asian, I never understood the disgust that western viewers exhibited with the dinner scene. Other than the monkey brains, I had eaten all of those things. And that's just because monkey brains weren't available at the Asian grocery store. I had eaten calf brains. Snakes, bugs, and brains are just a casual lunch in places with more people than resources, like China and India. Crickets and grasshoppers can even be found in a buffet. In Korea, silkworms are sold by street vendors.

This is my favorite Indiana Jones film as well, and for a specific reason. Although Indy is clearly a hero in all of the movies, this is the one where his actions clearly save lives (and even more telling the lives of numerous innocent children) and make an obvious difference to the lives of an entire village. In Raiders, the ultimate goal is to find an artifact; big whoop. In Last Crusade, the ultimate goal is to find an artifact. Again. Big whoop. Yes, he has a huge adventure and saves lives (plus the motivation of rescuing his estranged father) but saving those lives is only a by-product of his actions. In Temple, yes the main goal... openly... is to find an artifact. But I have always gotten the impression that Indy's real motivation in this instance wasn't to find something to put into a museum but to save all those villagers - especially those kids, and absolute strangers to him at that - from sheer misery right from the start. And in this movie he makes a far bigger difference to the people around him than he does in all of his other movies (and even the TV series as well) combined. Hundreds of people owe him their lives, livelihood, and freedom. Imo Indy would be one of my favorite heroes of all time even if this was the *only* film he'd ever appeared in! He's practically a superhero like Batman in this one, and I love it! Of course, all of the riveting action and the comedy bits help too. Short Round is a great sidekick (wish they'd brought him back for Last Crusade) and Willy is... a wreck but a funny contrast to both Indy and Short Round so I can stand her incessant screaming as well. Someone like Marion Ravenwood might have worked too of course but then Short Round would not have stood out as well as he does with useless Willy there instead. Got to have that damsel in distress trope in at least one Indy movie after all!

Love all the Indiana Jones movie and like you, Minty, this one is my favourite. One deleted scene or maybe unfilmed scene is during the strange Indian feast. Indiana says to himself "something's wrong, Indians don't eat like this". I probably don't have the exact wording but it would have made a lot more sense and not let everyone think that Indians eat chilled monkey brains for dessert.

Yep, it's also my favorite. They were swinging for the fences with this entry.

This is my favorite Indiana Jones Movie of all time I don’t what anyone says. Temple Of Doom is awesome and very different than Raiders Of The Lost Ark.

I personally like that while Raiders of the Lost Ark and the Last Crusade are parallel to one another in terms of being traditional pulp adventure stories with some supernatural elements, Temple of Doom and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull are parallel to one another in terms of being pulp films that delves deeper into the mythological than the other two films. As Temple of Doom is my personal favorite Indy film, of which it’s actually chronologically the first Indy film.

Temple of Doom is my favorite of the 3 (yes) Indy movies. It's one of the greatest adventure spectacle films ever made.

I remember being younger than 10 when I first watched TOD. I absolutely loved it, especially the heart removal scene. To me, it was John Williams score, and the bold imagery that captivated me. I have seen so many war movies by that point, that Jones facing the cult was exciting to see. I do admit that I would be pretty squeamish if I was actually served a meal of bugs and monkey brains, but as a viewer found it really fun to be grossed out.
