Totally agree, I was out waking and looking at stone huts, thinking how they managed so live so remote with nothing in them days, and there is me in my van watching Netflix while the diesel heater runs!

Archie couldn't contain his excitement when he found snow on the ground. You have got the winter wonderland that you wanted and the added bonus of no rubbish tv or newspapers nearby. Vanlife is looking good there 👌

Fantastic Rob, we have seen it all in the last few days, thank god we had the bfgs on the van. Went to sleep at Dunnet head with loads of snow and woke up to 4 degrees and snow free roads. Couldn’t get lpg yesterday as the pump was to cold, luckily have enough to last until we hit Ullapool tomorrow. Keep up the great work ❄️☃️🎅

Yeah def agree about having BFG’s on the van in this weather… I’ve had mine for a few years now and just ordered some new ones for the front… the LPG in ullapool is the most expensive I’ve found so far… hope you well and had a good Xmas?

I would totally agree with you, he wins hands down with his love of the snow! Yeah -13 was pretty epic and loved every moment of it, as you said the van is built for it now, just a few other changes to make and we are all good for another winter abroad somewhere! I could buy a new side door, and start fresh and put a caravan window in, but I might as well keep what I have for now mate! Hows you anyway mate, did you have a good xmas?

HI, yeah all my water tanks are inside the van under the bed, the diesel heater ducting runs alongside the water tanks and pipes and near the lithium batteries to keep everything warm, dry, damp free and frost free!

HI mate, all my water tanks, everything apart from my 25ltr gas tank are all built inside the van.. the diesel heater ducts run alongside the water pipes and lithium batteries.. my water tank Is under the bed and waste is under the sink... never had any issues this way!

What kind of gas heater have you got

Hi mate, I've go the Whale Heat Air 5G, but keeps coming up with a gas fault on the control.. checked everything, got a full tank of gas.. Spoken to the fitters and they have taken me though everything they think it could be and still not working... wondering if its the gas regulator?

@@PackTheVanAndGo yeh im not sure i had faults coming up on my propex heater the other week up in Scotland i guess it could be some moisture somewhere in the system freezing up if it was the regulator your other appliances wouldn't work

I started by looking at vans to convert but without the tools and skills this is a problem so am now looking for a motor home. Hi mate, I chose a van as that was what was in my budget to begin with… but I also wanted my layout and the chase to build something for me rather than a factory built motorhome… I much prefer my van than a motorhome.. more personal and it has everything I wanted!
