Supberb video Darach l enjoyed it very much, as someone who suffers badly from mental health problems this kind of video just calms me down, l am also suffering and l do mean suffering from self believe. l lived in the same Flat in Aberdeen for 26 years and for the last 18 months l haven't been able to function at all, it got so bad l did some mad things really stupid things too embarrassing to mention there was so so many. Just in the last 3 days l decided l couldn't take it anymore so l decided to just go to Inverurie to get away from what l consider the madness that Aberdeen has become. l tried asking a local Newton Dee place if l could stay there but was refused, l think due to my age, l'll be 60 on Saturday this week, but could also be because someone at Newton Dee pat a long resident, l thought l was consoling him but the look this young man , who resides at Newton Dee was something to behold. l am getting help from Support Staff, they have been a real God send, don't know what l would have done without them probably not be here to write this down. l find it really theraputic to get it off my chest, hope l haven't bored everyone to tears getting my baggage off my back

You haven't bored anyone at all, and I really appreciate your comment! When I started all this video making I didn't really think it would make an impact or that any one would watch. But over the last couple of years I've had quite a few messages saying my videos help to relax or it's like a nice escape for their mind. Never thought that would be the case but it's always nice to hear from those people and gives me encouragement to keep making them.

@HighlandWoodsman2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for watching! This is the tribe 2.0 woodstove from 3F UL Gear. It's a Chinese company and it felt like a good deal at the time but it hasn't really lasted as well as I'd hoped. Quite alot of warping and the weld on the spark arrestor inside has failed. So I wouldn't recommend not buying it but I would recommend spending a bit more for some quality if you know what I mean.

Awesome vid. Can I ask, how much weight are you carrying? I’m guessing quite a bit with the stove etc which is what puts me off buying this kind of setup for multi day hikes, but it also looked like you trekked for quite a while with it all to your chosen site so maybe not as heavy as it looks?
@HighlandWoodsman2 жыл бұрын
Hi Alex, thanks for watching. I think I was carrying about 13kg here which is everything apart from food. I didn't actually walk too far just a couple of km. Yeah I'm not sure I would go for this setup for multiple days on the move but it is entirely possible. I guess if I was somewhere with actual winter I might reconsider but not worth it in the UK. But I supposed if I was somewhere with a proper winter I would probably be able to use a sledge for gear 👍

Is this a good tent? I have no idea which one to get. Might make a tipi from cheap tarps

It's not a bad tent for the price but it does suffer with condensation as the vents aren't the best especially when used as a hot tent.
