The biggest concern that I have he didn’t evaluate: accuracy. He alluded to minut’s improvements here. But he didn’t actually do the side by side comparison with a winner. Which one is gives the fewest false positives and the fewest false negatives?

I purchased Minut... The added cigarette smoke feature is a valuable addition for my needs, especially considering we have a large outdoor pool area where smoking isn't permitted.

For charging issue with Minut use a plug in timer. You can keep Minut plugged in at all times & program the timer for charge weekly or monthly without ever needing anyone to physically charge.

@@gabrielleroger6538 hello, so you can search online for a plug in programmable timer. These devices all work similar to each other and will come with instructions on how to use and program. Fairly simple, plug it into home outlet, set the program, plug in the Minut into the timer plug, and all set. I’m currently using this set up in one of my Airbnb properties. Maybe I can do a video on it at later time

Minut can be used hard wired according to their site. I am sure these updates are occuring post video in many cases. Either way great content. I am now a subscriber Is Minut hardwired? You can choose to use the Minut sensor with just the battery. However, it works perfectly well to use it plugged in at all times. Battery Protection Mode If the device is connected to the charger for too long (e.g several days) or is hardwired, it's automatically switched over to Battery protection mode. When the device is in battery protection mode, the device's battery voltage is regulated to stay at a slightly lower level than the full battery, this way we prevent the battery from aging quickly and losing capacity. To charge it fully, you need to unplug the device for more than 24 hours so that the battery protection can be deactivated.

Hi, great and very informative video! I am thinking to use the device to know if animals like mouses or rats are under the floor of my holiday apartment. The sounds that the animals produce are lower as guests having a party. Does one of the devices also show very low sound like nibbling on wood? I wouldn't need an alarm. Just want to know if it is quiet in the house when it is emty. I need sound levels for a longer period of time ( lets say 4-6 weeks). Hope you can help:) Thank you

Minut detects not only phones but smart devices. So you can get an alert for 5 devices even though its only 1 guest in the unit.

@@lynnn7465 I just had Minut put in our Short term. It does device counting also so I think it'll work just fine indoor to tell us if a guest attempts to throw a party . If/ when they come out with an outdoor monitor I''ll just add it on
