I highly expect the plot came from when Elvis was drafted into the army. I think they need to remake this movie and call it "Bye Bye Bieber" In stead of the army have Beiber Cryogenically frozen with Miley Cyrus as the mad scientist promising eternal fame and fortune. The Kardashians as the sidekicks to Cyrus, and Tom Cruise as the MI agent that rescues Bieber slightly frozen below the waist and will forever be known as Justin Stiffy. Don't bother me I am writing the screenplay.

I'm cast as Hugo in our high school version (I had no idea how different the stage and movie versions were, I don't sing once :0) but I'm super pumped. It's pretty much the perfect role for me.

Love it! First saw this movie in middle school choir class, we even had a test on it haha. I think I was the only one to get a perfect score, as most kids in this choir class only took it for the easy A and didn't actually sing at all or put in effort...yeah. Also loving the Doctor Who reference! :)

DoctorWhoBAMF I would be the biggest fanboy for a Doctor Who musical. Really, I'd just enjoy a great big "kickline" of daleks. Plus the singing? Dalek singing? Scratch that. I just want a musical performed only by daleks.

i was first galvanised to see this when , i think it was Premiere magazine's imaginary movie critic Libby Gelman-Waxner(or someone on Premiere anyway) described Ann Margaret's rendition of the title song as going beyong camp and into the realms of some sort of transcendental dementia. I was not disappointed.( well , not by her performance of the song, the movie's just ???!!!!!)

Exactly!!!!!! The movie version is god awful and is nothing like the musical! So many things were left out or added in or changed in the movie. Now that I'm so used to the musical since I'm currently in it, this video make me hella uncomfortable

You know, ever time I've watched this movie, I kept thinking, "I must have heard her wrong." I always thought maybe she said "Bird-hee", so at least the "D" was in there, trying to fight off the invading "H". So I'm glad someone else heard "Bur-hee" besides me. I wonder why she chose to sing it that way? Maybe the director wanted her to sound a little breathless about her idol?

@zequeecho
@zequeecho 7 жыл бұрын
so the burgee thing?...Is it...singing pronunciation? or... did they tell her to skip the d in the word? This is haunting me. Does she pronounce any other words weirdly? I mean this musical has already given me enough headaches (my brother and sister would sing the Conrad fan theme until I left rooms) and I just need to know
@shawnmulligan2894

Ze QueEcho At least from my singing experience, it's kind of hard to switch directly from a held out r to a significantly lowered d and then continue singing normally. I sat and tried it for 20 minutes and only got it slightly on key once.

As someone who is currently in a production of the musical, the movie version is UGH! Ahhh whyyyy? Some of the songs are in scenes they shouldn't be in and it's just so much more confusing than the musical, which is already Bella confusing. And why is telephone hour suddenly that fast? What the heck. That actually made me laugh quite a bit. The movie is so fricken different and I hate it since I'm so used to the musical version haha.

The movie is TERRIBLE. The bit about he speed up formula to speed up the orchestra? WOW. Hello 1960s. The ABC TV movie with Jason Alexander was much better, although I do love Dick Van Dyke.
