Excellent video. Very informative, and that’s the most beautiful leather fire helmet I’ve ever seen!!!

What is the brand of blue strap you guys use? I can't seen to find it anywhere.

I just got some webbing and buckles and took it to a tailor - it wasn’t expensive. You can get the buckles at REI or Walmart or Amazon. You can get black webbing most anywhere, but I wanted a specific color, so I got it at REI. Fire Store is another good source. Hope that helps.

What kinda gloves are you using?
@21lt Жыл бұрын
Those are PMI rope gloves. They are a great glove. I have a couple of pairs and I use one for utility work and the other just for rope work. They run around $35 to $45

Where can I get the load straps? I’ve got some short people in my department that would love that! Tia

@@ethantindol8815 sorry for the slow reply. I didn’t see this until now. I got some webbing and buckles and took it to a local tailor. It was inexpensive. You can get 2’ webbing and buckles at Amazon or Walmart, I I went to REI, because I wanted a brighter color (as opposed to black) so they would get lost as easily on the fire ground. 🚒✌🏻

@@ethantindol8815 - sorry for the slow reply. I just got some webbing and buckles and took them to a tailor to see them so I had a loop (with buckle around the hose bundle and a loop hanging out of the cross lay area. You can get the supplies at Walmart or Amazon. I got them at REI because I wanted a brighter color. 🚒✌🏻

The triple lay (150’) is so much better. I pull the nozzle and loop. The second guy waits and grabs the coupling. Creates the loop. Your houses are 60 ft from the curbs.

@@birther1968 - We tried flat, triple layer load, cleveland, minuteman and more. The MM works best for us. There are many ways to complete each task on the foreground and most solutions are valid, depending on the requirements in your service area. The distance from our apparatus to the front door varies….a lot. We run 200’ & 300’ pre-connects - 150’ wouldn’t get it done for us. If the triple works well for your needs, I am happy you are using it. 🚒✌🏻
