My how dramatically the Minecraft KZbin landscape has shifted I honestly miss the slower, more episodic adventures through these things, it's part of why Hermitcraft and such things are so addictive I feel. Feels less like a video-essay (which I absolutely adore, don't get me wrong,) and more like an interactive story that you watch unfold in an organic way.

OP STARTER TRICK: -Collect 2 roses and make yourself a Rose Sword (literally stronger than a diamond sword) -Find a Mantis Spawner and set your spawn point right next to it -Build a little cubby near the spawner to get the Mantis to spawn and fight them without being flung around (They drop Uranium and Titanium nuggets) -After dying and respawning multiple times youll finally kill multiple mantis bosses and get hella drops -Keep repeating this process until you get enough Uranium and Titanium nuggets to create ingots -With the ingots youre able to create literally one of the STRONGEST ARMOR AND WEAPONS SETS in the modpack (The Ultimate Set) -Now you profit and are able to beat every other boss besides the final ones.

i was used to have a similar strategy but i used the sifter (1 string, 8 sticks) to find uranium and titanium in the water, then i crafted an ultimate bow and from then killing the mantis was easy without making dying necessary

Just travel to the brown ant biome and go on the king/queen trees. At the bottom they dont kill you and mine the blocks of uranium and titanium and free set of ultimate armour

I'd say just rush an iron pick and then go to the dimension that spawns the king tree. It has *blocks* of uranium and titanium. Usually you can agro the king away from it.

crazycraft was the first modpack that I ever played. Seeing that it is somehow still being remembered by one of minecrafts best content creators really takes me back. I remember watching the crazycraft series with Dantdm, thinknoodles and thxcya. I was so surprised to see this video come up in my recommended today, yet I couldnt be more grateful.

28:08 I think this might have just been an Orespawn thing, but the lower durability your armor is the less effective it is, which is why he got destroyed so bad as the fight went on (also he didn't have the ultimate boots on, which is like way more damage taken than you'd expect). That actually used to be in vanilla Minecraft back in beta but was taken out a long time ago if I remember correctly. If only he discovered how insanely OP bacon is lmao

I guess I just never noticed it after the adventure updated added hunger, or maybe they just reduced it around then (or I got good at the game and started using better armor). Honestly it was a pretty good feature, not sure why they got rid of it since it made sense and added some depth to the combat.

@@Conqueringrule with every buff comes nerf, the armor point beyond the change is weaker in term of blocking damage than older armors, so the Orespawn armor on 1.16.5 would not be able to block out every damage possible and you would still take damage even from a zombie, tested with Chaos Awakens mod.

It's a difficult modpack but if you know what to do you can get the ultimate armor within the first 30 minutes by going to whatever ant dimension has the tier dungeons and quickly getting the armor and weapons for the chests and when you have that, you go for the 6 tier dungeon that has the kings sword and kings armor, then you basically can't die lol but the queen is still very difficult to kill

Tbh Minecraft isn’t really good at hitboxes for giant flying mobs. Even the vanilla ended dragon has hit box issues so an even bigger and more erratically moving boss like the King or Queen would have even jankier hitboxes.

This is so much nostalgia for me. I went insane when i saw the king in the thumbnail. I remember before i had youtube, my tv had this thing called happykids tv. There was a woman called amy who had a crazycraft series and that used to be all i watched (i also watched a lot of little club but whatever) it took her like 3 hours to beat the king, and in the end, she didn’t even fight the queen because her computer couldn’t take it. Im gonna sit and watch this video critiquing everything you do now. Also good touch with the portal music :D i love portal lol

Time flies, thank you Pat and Jen for the wonderful memories.
