First of all, I know this is no professional fight. Just entertainment. Secondly, yeah this was no where near a fair fight in my opinion. Let's put this in gaming terminology. Minx: high HP; high damage; low stamina; low technique; low speed. Class-Tank. Yodeling: low HP; low damage; high stamina; high technique; high speed. Class-idk. There's a reason why professional fighters are classified by weight. I definitely think Haley is the real winner in this match. However, I absolutely respect the grind they both put into this fight. They both did their best. Minx is an absolute beast. And Yodeling is one hell of a warrior.

Haley’s punches just weren’t powerful enough to have much effect. Even when Minx was gassed out, Haley opened herself up to get countered. So if KO’s are all they’re going for, I don’t see this fight going any other way

@@kiboma4209 i know, i used to box before covid, cause i am tall and fat they would usually send me in to be a punching bag for the new people trying the sport or the teens that practiced at the gym, we were instructed to give those people pretty obvious openings and just jab to keep distance, didnt matter how strong they seemed i could take several punches to the face and not feel a thing and just the lightest jab would send most to the other side of the ring cause of the weight difference alone, the moment i had to instruct someone NEW who was my size and weight i had to take it a bit more seriously or else i would go down before the coach could teach them anything 🥴. Minx vs Haley just reminded me of those practice matches where Minx had the clear weight advantage, she could just wail her arms at Haley and would prob win at the end anyways. Idk if haley would win by points, idk how those are calculated but haley saw that she wasnt doing much for damaging minx and didnt want to go another round, gotta respect her for going the distance tho.

It would be so much fun seeing minx wrestle, she's such a character But it's probably way more dangerous than this lol
@steezydan85432 жыл бұрын
MMA is the least dangerous combat sport because they're not wearing padded gloves. Boxing leads almost always to brain trauma because of the big padded gloves, it lets you punch someone in the head 50 times without breaking your hands. I'd say she wouldn't look too out of place in the octagon fighting in UFC.
@MaluuhLive2 жыл бұрын
@@steezydan8543 Damn didn't know that, it would be cool as hell
@tttITA102 жыл бұрын
Wrestling is not more dangerous than this. Not by a mile. Life risk in combat sports comes mainly from brain damage and bleeding because of head strikes, wrestling is WAY less conducive to that. It does present more risk of articular injuries, than boxing (the amount of times I banged my knees while wrestling is waaaay too high), but it allows for way safer all-out fights. You can actually go all out in every single wrestling/grappling training session and you would still be fine: do not ever try that on boxing though, there is close to no place for hard sparring in striking arts. Also, MMA gloves ARE padded and MMA fighter's wrists and fists ARE heavily wrapped. What makes MMA safer is NOT how MMA punches are more careful than boxing's because of hand damage (they are not. There's not much risk of hand breaking in MMA and less padding does transfer more force on impact), this is just modern fight mithology. What makes MMA safer is the rule set: mainly because the fight ends when someone gets rocked out of intelligent defense for even a second, making for no serious brain damage amounting from small damages, while, in boxing, if you get rocked, they do that count-to-10 thing that allows your brain damaged self to go back to the fight to get even more damage. Also, without separating clinches like they do in boxing, the average MMA strike will be less powerful, for it comes from awkward clinch or ground positions, and has to be thrown while being mindful of takedowns, not only counterstrikes. That's not to mention MMA rounds are longer, making for less powerful strikes because of fatigue and less chances to recover from previous brain damage only to get more damage. Hand protection DOES make combat sports like MMA and boxing more dangerous than they would be if they just take out the gloves, but it is NOT the reason why one is more dangerous than the other, BECAUSE HANDS IN MMA ARE HEAVILY PROTECTED TOO (with both heavy duty hand wraps AND padded gloves). It is the rules that make the difference, not the gloves: if you make a dangerous rule set, the sport will be dangeous even if you cover your hands with just a single handkerchief: check Lethwei/Burmese boxing for an example of crazy dangerous sport with close to none hand protection.

Edit: One of the things I didn't include, specifically in regards to skill, is that men also biologically have a large advantage in terms of gross motor skills and hand to eye coordination. So right off the bat, even if you exclude the many, many physical advantages, the average woman is going to have some catching up to do in regards to technique and skill etc. And even in skill levels alone, not the physical advantages, several months I believe, will not be enough time to make up for those differences in boxing. Ha, I mean she did great, but if you've seen guys and girls spar before, a woman has to train for a long, long time to make up for the differences, and may never be able to beat an untrained guy. Even if the guy was the exact same height and weight, a man will have very large advantages, in muscle to fat ratio, their nervous system, their hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis (Response to dangerous /stressful situations) pain tolerance, tendon and ligament efficiency, aggressiveness, will power, structure of the joints, reach (women have shorter limbs on average, relative to their height) and their cardiovascular system etc etc etc. I could go on but you get the point, unless you're considerably below average for a guy in terms of athleticism, you would be very likely to win without any training.
@NecoLumi2 жыл бұрын
@@thepubquiz3198 skill can equalize that a lot. Like, yeah, 100%, in pure physicals, average guy beats average girl every time But a girl who's smart and moderately fit can beat a dumb big guy with the right moves. Very risky and unlikely, but they cpuld do it I've seen some small ladies toss some big guys around in BJJ, and the guys werent exactly holding back
@thepubquiz31982 жыл бұрын
@@NecoLumi Ye definitely, depending on the discipline skill can play much more of a factor, and I would say BJJ is a very good example of a discipline were skill level takes up much more importance than other martial arts. Yet in boxing I just think the man will have to many advantages that come into play. I mean Lucia Rijker, often quoted as the greatest female fighter to ever live, only lost one fight, against a man who as an absolutely nobody, and was essentially a semi professional. I just think if you put the average sized women of average athleticism with a year of boxing training, in the ring with an untrained man with average athleticism, that is of the same height and weight as the woman, the guys going to win 99 times out of 100. The trouble is, is a test of this will likely never be done, but it would be really interesting to see, on average, how long a woman would have to train in various disciplines to beat a man of the same size. Or even in MMA for example, how long would it take for the average woman, to beat an average untrained man.

Honestly you have to applaud Haley just keeps comming regardless of getting that beating. I truly think if minx wasn't so strong she could of maybe worked around it but there is no way she didn't feel those hits. Props to both of them. Also your friend is hilarious with these text messages. Thank both of you for the smiles and fun time !!

This was just not fair. Minx is from a place in which the women have evolved the take punches to the jaw from their drunken husbands. You can see that she was at her happiest when taking hits straight to the face

Minx was crazy, she looks like 'yea throw punches on my face and I'll give back some to you'. Minx literally isn't guarding her face, she's more like inviting.
@innerg_922 жыл бұрын
totally rooted for Minx here but now that i seen the slow shots of some things Hayley fought way more technically, and just didnt have the power in her hits to really bring Minx down i think. They both fought way better than i was expecting out of this event. Props.

This was a lot of fun to watch kudos to both girls they both put their hearts into and gave a really good show!! Also i feel so bad for haley right before the 4th round started she looked so upset and hurt man!! Poor girl she seems like such a sweat person

I respect them so much to step out of their comfort zone and go into such a demanding sport. What a beautiful display of this spot being most of these fighters first ever fight or even taking a punch. The first real punch completely shifts how you behave in the ring. I'm so impressed.
