This is Minzy, a multi-talented woman who debuted at the age of 15 in 2NE1. She got recruited by YG when a video of her at a dance competition got uploaded onto the Internet, and got many hits & praises for her ability to dance. She sacrificed her childhood and trained at YG for about 5 years before she was placed in the group as the main dancer and the youngest member. During her time in 2NE1, she was able to create beautiful memories with the members. But just like most of us, the dreaming doesn’t end after being successful. As an artist, she wanted to challenge herself and showcase more of what she can offer. In a Billboard interview, she revealed that she was preparing and recording a solo album ahead of 2NE1’s hit song ‘I Am The Best’ but her former agency kept delaying it until there wasn't enough focus to finish it. In 2016, she decided not to renew her contract with YG to carve her own path as a solo artist and to fight for her own will. She then signed with Music Works and debuted as a solo artist in 2017 with her first album “MINZY WORK 01: UNO.” In 2018, she was supposed to have a tour in North America but with lack of support from her agency, it was cancelled. In the same year, she released her first English single ‘All Of You Say’ which was shot in New Zealand. In 2019, she fought her way out of Music Works for mistreatment and mismanagement. “They barely provided support for my activities and I have not been shown the statement of accounts a single time, and I did not receive even one won of profits,” she revealed. In 2020, she ended her legal conflict with Music Works after coming to an understanding with the agency. She eventually released a single called “LOVELY” as a gift to her fans who supported her and have rooted for her since her debut. In the same year, she established her own agency MZ Entertainment aiming to manage her own career and to wholeheartedly support those who aren’t able to display their own latent talent. This is Minzy, the same 15-year-old dreamer who impressed us with her dancing skills and powerful vocals in 2NE1. This is Minzy, a selfless and a strong independent woman who has gone through the toughest times in her career and got mismanaged as an artist but was able to stand up and fight for herself, and come back for her fans. This is Minzy, and she is now back with her 3rd single as a solo artist called “TEAMO” which has a Latin hip-hop vibe partnered with a strong and powerful dance choreography. This is just my observation, every performance of Minzy with Teamo is unique. She doesn’t follow the original choreography at all times especially for the non-chorus parts. Not to mention that she’s been like that along side with CL ever since. Frankly speaking, I prefer that kind of execution rather than very choreographed-ish (if you know what I mean). It shows how she just enjoys the song and it shows more of the versatility side of Minzy and up to this day, no one comes close to that level. Let’s continue to stream her videos so that we can have more stage performances of Teamo. C’mon, she really deserve it!

Minzy necesita urgente una canción que la haga resaltar mucho más. Si bien las que a sacado en solitario todas son buenas ❤️ sigue faltandole algo. De por sí, minzy fue la miembro de 2ne1 con menos fandom, y es que le falta estrella. Con una buena canción, con una buena coreografía, y con mejor promoción tal vez llegue más lejos, pero su carrera nunca a ido viento en popa. Se está quedando solo en algo "bien" pero de ahí no a transpasado a realizar algo espectacular.
