Hey you put this on an EF mount camera I just got this lens, thought it was M42 and turns out it's not and I can't find an adapter for it online. what did you do?

@@lo-wokliya1267 No, a BMPCC4K with a Metabones XL Cine Speedbooster to EF. But i also tried it on my old Canon 600D and an old Analog Canon, same problem. :/

Is this is the actual flare from the 20M? Not enhanced in any way? If yes, then this is DEFINITELY going to be the next lens to join my collection (already have a Helios 44-2, and a silver MIR-1).

yes, it is. This clip is just strait out of the camera, no CC or effects or anything. But keep in mind that flare characteristics are very much dependant on the sensor. This was shot on Canon C100. Still, I have just checked, Mir-20M (first version) has exact same round flares on Eos Mark II.

Plz watch here how MIR-20M MC version (v2, looks like hand grenade and it is smaller than v.1) flares under the direct sunlight kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHW8qXeenrd0lacm14s and here kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIe2q3qbeMZ5mtE You see, it flares ina different way so despite the MC coating the flares are more prounounced. And I do not see the similiar God's rays effect, but that is not so easy since the flare type and character is very much dependand on the camer sensor type! God's rays were shot on Canon C100, and these MC clips are form Sony Fs700.

No, this is single coated one. Strangely, MC one has more saturated flares. But here shown not flares, but light dispersion at the glass edges
