I WAS TOLD SEVERAL TIMES; IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE A CRYSTAL RADIO IN THIS SMALL SIZE WHAT WORKS WITHOUT EXTERNAL ANTENNA OR FRAME ANTENNA.
IT IS A DOUBLE MIRACLE; AM AND FM BANDS AND WORKS WITHOUT EXTERNAL ANTENNA.
AM-FM CRYSTAL RADIO WORKS WITHOUT EXTERNAL ANTENNA.IT IS CONNECTED TO RADIO SHACK AMPLIFIER. I DO HAVE A SPECIAL LOCATION TO BUILD CRYSTAL RADIOS LIKE THIS. AM BAND HAS 4 STATIIONS FM BAND HAS 2 STATIONS. BOTH FM AND AM RECEIVER HAS ONE -ONE SCHOTTKY DIODE DEMODULATOR WHAT WORKS AS SLOPE DETECTOR ON FM BAND. CIRCUIT DIAGRAM IS THE SIMPLE ONE DIODE DEMODULATOR DIAGRAMWITH 100 KILOOHM RESISTOR PARALEL TO EARPHONE CONECTOR. YE, IT WORKS BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE SPECIAL LOCATION TO BE AS LUCKY AS ME. I DO HAVE SEPARATED AM AND FM RECEIVERS., THIS IS THE SECOND AM-FM COMBINATION WHAT I MADE.. THE FM COIL S A LOOP SO IT WORKS AS LOOP ANTENNA WITH A HELP OF EARPHONE WIRE AS ANTENNA. ANY EXTRA SIGNAL HELPS THE BETTER RECEPTION.

I am working on a larger crystal radio project, collecting parts, gathering information, creating modules, and searching for the right box. I have two 50 kW stations close to me. I plan to build a set with two crystal radios in it. I will incorporate two voltage multipliers connected in series to generate higher voltage and supply a one-transistor receiver along with a third AM receiver. It's a big triple project. I am anticipating only microamperes from the two voltage multipliers. It may work, or it may not work at all. I am referring to a solution without an external antenna-very challenging conditions.

The circuit diagram is as simple as possible, with nothing particularly special about it. The unique aspects lie in the components themselves. Notable elements include the antenna, the Schottky Barrier rectifier diode, and the earphone based on a piezo buzzer. Another distinctive component is the FM band coil, crafted from twisted bold wires and forming a U-shape wire that is only a few inches long. I've named it the "FM band litze."The FM band rectifier consists of just a single Schottky Barrier diode, functioning as a slope detector. Your location is the most crucial factor. I am close to several high-power AM and FM band transmitters. This is the key, not the circuit diagram.

Looks impossible, crystal radios don't work without at least 10 meter long antenna and good ground, how far is nearest AM radio station?

It looked impossible to me too but it works so I do not mind what do you think about crystal radios. I developed these models in 4 or 5 years. Now I have a separated AM and separated FM crystal radio. The distances what I checked today( 11.28.2022) the 50 kW stations(WBBM 780kHz and WSCR 670 kHz)are2.28 miles(3.67km). The WGN is on 720kHz, medium but still useful because it is almost 90 degree away fro the 50 kW statiosn,. So WGN is 5.17 miles(8.32 km.) I am not sure where is the spanish language station, the fourth station what is almost as good as WGN daytime. I am talking about MY crystal radios what I am using almost ever day and night. No battery in these units, no extenal antenna at all. Just the little box and the connected earphone. I have no secret about it but my location. The 50 kW stations are producing me around 75 mV audio. I just used my newest Digital Multimeter the PDM-711 in 200mV DC mode.The smallest audio what I was able to identify, was around 8 or 10 mV but I do't hear that station any more .I developed a new ferrite based antenna ( for AM band) and SHOTTKY BARRIER diode and piezo buzzer based single earphone around 100 kOhm impedance.( Paralel resistor is around 80 or 100 kOhm I found the best..I hope I gave you a proper answer.Thanks for checking my videos.

Yes, this IS a crystal radio with crystal diodes! No external antenna and no amplifier in it I just demonstrated the work with a transistor amplifier for the video. Yes, it works with crystal diode and with piezo buzzer based crystal earphone.

The radio connected to the transistor amplifier for demonstration only. It works fine without any battery or power source. Itworks only from the energy what comes from the transmissin. It is a crysta dioode radio- a modern version of catwhsker crystal rectifier. It works free for me and I love it. I do not care of any opinion about it, I was told by experts- impossible to create one like this. I created it and works for me, just because the special location. It will not work 30 miles away for sure,I am happy with the radio and you can hear it too.

There is no battery and n transistor,no any active component.There is only crystal diode in it.So it is a crystal diode radio.Please tell me what is the real crystal radio according to you?

The 'Crystal' detector radio receiver is the most basic of receiver circuits, to say "Not a Crystal set" without explanation for a contrary opinion is unfair so I will endeavour to support our friend with clarification. What is being forgotten here and was disclosed in the video is the 'audio amplifier' is doing the hard work and is necessary for your enjoyment on YT. Normally a very high impedance Crystal earphone is used as the only available current is from the antenna ( which in this set is the earphone wire ) is to weak for a conventional earphone. The antenna current is used to be demodulated / detected by 'Cats whisker' but in this set the Galena crystal is replaced in this set with a Schottky diode. The fact it can detect / demodulate AM and FM is no small achievement and building it in a remote control is novel and something the Special Operations Executive (SOE) would have liked in their kitbag. So to the naysayers in the comments this is a 'Crystal set' with the 'Cats whisker' and the Galena crystal substituted with a Schottky diode which is in no way amplifying just detecting RF current induced in the earphone wire, with interesting FM demodulation. So with respect to harshvardhansing3948 and other naysayers give credit to this mans work and refrain from implying deception. THIS IS A VERY INGENIOUS 'CRYSTAL SET' . Go build one .......

This is no doubt a crystal radio. I used to live in the city, and built dozens of sets like this, but using 1N34A, 1N60 and 1N82A diodes. It's inspiring work you do, Imre. I don't live near enough to transmitters now for this design to work, unfortunately.@@Woffy.
