I have a degenerative back and also coccyx problems with arthritis and I have had this cushion for about 2 years now in my car and it works wonders. I am so comfortable driving, it has really made a big difference. Before I could only drive about 4 hours at a time but now I have no problem driving the 8 hours to my daughter’s house! The firmness takes a little getting use to but once you do, you won’t leave home without it!!!

I just recently purchased a Miracle Bamboo Cushion for the very same reason you did. A pillow wasn't helping me @all.. but, I do enjoy sitting on my Miracle Bamboo Cushion, I could feel the difference immediately. I agree with your assessment of how the cushion is placed. If you sit differently on the cushion, it defeats it's purpose. I'm not sure about the tailbone factor as yet, but I can't complain, I like it so far, & the cover zips off for washing. Hi, First I want to say, great job on the review. It is thorough, gave me the info I was looking for, and you are very likable and friendly in your communication. Subscribed and gave you a thumbs up. I saw this cushion advertised on TV tonight and it is a bit expensive, so I came to the computer to look for any reviews. You may want to include price info in your review because I notice in the "buy 1 get 1 free" ad, there's a little notation that tells you a 2nd postage and processing fee must be paid for the 2nd cushion. So the cushion is $19.99+$7.95, then another $7.95 for the "free" 2nd cushion. I was very glad to hear you speak of how the covering held up with washing, and I think it's an excellent idea to wash the covering before using it, especially to help get rid of the odor. I am short, 5'1" and often wish I was a little higher in the car, plus I have had long term chronic back problems, and often grab the couch cushion to sit on for comfort in my computer chair or on the chair or bench at the kitchen table. I really want a good cushion with a washable cover, but had no idea if this was a piece of crap or a good purchase, and whereas it's pricey, it's great to know that you give it a good review. I can see why it might not be great for a taller person, (my husband is 6'2'', and I'm sure he'd feel the same as you. But, for me, I think it will be great. So, I've decided to make the purchase, largely based on your review. So, thank yo9u very much! I appreciate it. You made me feel better about it because now there isn't a big risk factor, or the worry about wasting the money.

I enjoyed your review. I suffer from sciatica along with other back issues. I received this cushion as a gift from my sister this week. I use it at home when I am doing my homework and at the office. I have a sit-down job, so the wear and tear on my back have taken its toll. Since using this cushion, it has helped alleviate the stress on my back from sitting. I was very impressed of the results and would recommend it. As you stated, it would the preference of each individual. Oh and for statistical purposes, I started using this cushion five days and have noticed rhe difference.

I just purchased this product from CVS a few days ago. I agree with this review so far. The cushion was not more comfortable in my car seat. It did position me up higher in the seat like I was sitting on a booster seat and I did not like that at all. I must be fair and say that my car seat is very comfortable already. I think that Lincoln makes a very comfortable and supportive seat. I did not purchase this for the car but I wanted to try it out to see. I purchased the seat to go on my home office chair. I have a large Serta office chair that I love but over the past 3 years the seat has become worn and the padding is wearing down. I really like my chair and did not want to have to buy a new one so I thought I would give this a try. So far it does make the seat more comfortable and I am enjoying sitting on it. Great product review and I am in agreement with your findings.

I have osteoarthritis (arthritis of the spine), and am a truck driver. Not a great combination! This firm pillow cushion really, really helps my back and chest at the end of a shift if i use it properly throughout the day. Thanks for the review!

I used it because I have trouble getting up from low chairs. I used 2 together because want the raised height. Daily use for 7 months they have flattened out somewhat.

I was experiencing tailbone pain from lots of sitting, my office chair after 10 years of use has no cushion left, i bought this to replace a pillow and after a day of sitting on it noticed my tailbone wasn't aching. I'm a believer that it works for me.

I bought this cushion about six months ago because I work at home on my computer all day, every day and my chair's cushioning was getting very uncomfortable. Initially, it was a big improvement, but over time the benefits seemed to fade away. As stated in the review, its a VERY firm cushion. So, as time went on, I found my bottom was getting quite sore sitting on this thing for hours on end. It doesn't seem like it's lost any of its give over time, it's just that it didn't have much in the first place. It almost feels like there are springs or wires in it, even though I know there isn't. I'm 5'9" and weigh about 175, so it's not like body issues are a big contributing factor. I think I'll have to try one of the gel cushions next.

I like it. In my case, it worked immediately. Greatly diminished my sciatic pain. Used in car, then brought it inside. I have a really sensitive nose, and there was no odor. I’m thinking it’s because the plastic had been removed in a small spot and it aired out in the store.

It works alright. Does help slighly with tailbone pain, not the most comfortable thing to sit on but if it helps with pain from sitting ill use it.

I bought two of these one for myself and one for my daughter who has back problems. I didn't even have mine a week before the zipper broke. I had to returned mine. My daughter has had hers about 14 months now. She loves her seat. I also like the comfort of the seat. On a bad note the first time we washed the cover the material started to shred on the edges and a little on the top. On a good note the grippers on the back didn't come off of hers. In my opinion you will have to change them out maybe once a year.

i been using the bamboo cushion for a few months on my computer chair that had lost a lot of it's seat cushion form.. so far i'm a 250lb man and sit on it majority for playing my games and being on my computer and it does hold it's form extreamly well.. first sitting on it , it does take some time for your more elevated and has you adjust on how you sit..another part if you have a bony butt after long hours will put some pressure on that and has you readjusting for a bit... but other wise if you have a flat/hard seat i can say this better solution for a common problem

I use them for height as I have trouble standing after sitting. The quality has gone down on the newer ones they do flatten out faster. Putting the cover back on after washing is tough, it requires a bit of tugging and bending. It is not the most comfortable cushion in the world. They are bit small for large chairs and you need to roll up a towel to keep it from sliding back. Over all it helps so I would recommend it if you like to sit higher.

I just got mine and I got it for two reasons. one I have a Aeron chair and it is a bit too low for me so I wanted a booster cushion as you can get a taller tube for the chair but that combined with bigger wheels was almost 300 dollars installed, it seems to work nicely for that but I only just got it. Second I cracked a rib and my tail bone taking a nasty fall fly fishing two years ago and my tail bone has been bugging me lately as I sit for many hours a day mixing music and editing video. First impressions are the cushion does smell like a moldy basement but I don't smell it sitting on it, the tail bone and whether it solves my issue of pain that I get after sitting for six plus ours while working is yet to be determined. Will report back after I use it for a few days or a week. Also I wish they still sold the blue version. I seemed to only be able to order grey and blue would have looked much better with my chair.

No it hasn't, I've been sitting longer than ever editing projects and my tailbone has gotten worse, not the cushions fault but it has not been a miracle for me, but is a good booster cushion and is comfortable, may be hot in the summer.

After having used this cushion for a month or so, maybe it gets better over time, but it is really a hard cushion. It would be better if the foam was softer. I don't think the tailbone has to sit so far off the chair seat to get relief.

ANYONE THAT HAS PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH HOW THIS PRODUCT WORKS FOR THEIR SORE TAILBONE, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE. Ive seen a couple of your reviews and find them both friendly and informative; I subscribed to your channel; it's nice to have someone take TV products out to field test them and video such tests to show us who may be considering a purchase. Im still on the fence about this product so yours or anyone's feedback is appreciated. My main issue is tailbone soreness. My work keeps me at the computer constantly as do social things. It's such now, that anywhere I go, if Im sitting for longer than 20 minutes (waiting on doctors, getting hair done- random things like that), when I get up, my tailbone REALLY lets me know it isnt happy. Thus, if I ignore what my body is telling me (which I sometimes have no choice but to do- work, etc), the pain spreads to the lower part of my back around my kidney area (small of back). Id really like to know more about how it alleviates tailbone soreness. The current TV & online offer is 2 for 1 (+S/H) and thought it would help my shorter mom (Im 5'7", she is 5'1" and she would enjoy it for her car) & thought Id give the free one to mom because she has had sciatica, had surgery for it, it came back and in general, she really aches in her back and Id do anything to help her if I really can & the product really works. GREAT that you washed it and it withstood such because mom washes everything A LOT... she is the kind of person who, like all of us, loves clean sheets but she washes her sheets every day! LOL- so I can imagine she will wash the outer cushion sleeve enough. THANK YOU so much for your rigorous reviewing of products. On to watch more reviews of products Ive seen on TV that you have reviewed and see how they stand up!

Wink At The Moon, damn it, nobody answered you. The main "miracle" of the cushion is that it's supposed to alleviate back pain. Someone with a bad back needs to comment how/if it works. I'm thinking not, it's just a foam cushion.

Ironically my mom had one at her house (not this exact brand but looked identical). You really have to sit perfectly on it and then like, not move, for it do help. Yea, I sit on it and it helps just a tiny bit so I'll take what I can get. But I would not go out and buy this product, knowing what I know, using this knock off or replica, etc. Yea, I didnt expect any answers; rarely get them on KZbin even though if I see something I can answer, I do respond to that person.

You have to sit straight on it for it to work, but it does alleviate my lower back pain from sitting at work all day. Even without the cushion, it is better to sit straight anyways.

Jessica Winn That was very kind of you to reply. Since my post, my mom had gotten one like this and gave it to me. I have it on my computer chair and agree with you. You do have to position yourself just right and then sit with proper posture for it to do most of the work. Clearly it works well enough (not 100%) for me as it remains on my computer chair and Im on it every day. I do not feel like using it for the car but if I were going to a game or event with bleachers, Id take it. Thank you for responding!

For me was most horror experience ever being in my opinion the most uncomfortable setting pillow ever. Because my work presumes many hours staying on chair and 'cause I have hip prosthesis and coccis problems due a car accident, I bought this pillow. Big mistake! I didn't resist more than 5 minute to seat on before I get a monumental bones pain for a week.

I just saw this advertising on tv. As a medical student, I have to say that I don't see how this cushion is better for your back posture than any other cushion. A normal person who sits down doesn't sit on the tailbone. When you sit down, you don't feel the tailbone, right? So the whole theory of reducing the pressure on your back isn't really significant. I can imagine that it's a good cushion though...

I just bought this tonight at Rite-Aid. I was going to replace my home office chair and thought "What the hell, for 20 bucks it's cheaper than a new chair." It's OK, does not live up to the hype though. It's a standard issue foam cushion. Having said that, I will keep it. It boosts me up a little and makes my chair a tad more comfy. If I were to buy it again It would be with either the 20% off Bed, Bath and Beyond Coupon or the $4.00 off $20.00 that Rite-Aid hands out like candy.
