I’ve got caught in a storm with my 2 sons while we all where on our own kayaks. At the time my eldest was 13 and my youngest was 6. It was terrifying! We always check the weather before we go bc it’s like a 6hr float. When the storm started I was scared. But all I could think of was to get my children out the water and home. Praise God we wasn’t but maybe 10mins from my truck. Thank the Lord these men are ok! As a single mother, I’m mom and dad. But I absolutely love the outdoors. We hunt, fish, hike pretty much anything u can do outside. I’m so blessed I have the chance to teach my sons what I know. These men definitely had God looking after them. God Bless everyone. And my prayers for the man who served in the military! I can’t even imagine what u have seen and been through! Ur still here for a reason and thank u so much for ur service

@Asherah I will always defend God's honnor and my faith. And about pastoralising people, Jesus said in the Holy Bible: '' go and make disciples. Speak out the Good News. I agree that actions are stronger than words but words are important too . We speak out, we act and we pray for others.
@pandabear71772 жыл бұрын
@@gygye I’m Christian, and it truly bothers me when folks do this kind of thing. By saying that God was with them and therefore they survived, you are by default saying that God isn’t with someone if they die. God is with everyone, every step of the way. But He also isn’t the reason things happen. Things simply do, and God walks along with us throughout the process. Also, no need to gate-keep. If someone uses incorrect letters in typing or disagrees, there’s no need to enforce your beliefs on them. The Bible and Christian tradition aren’t for unbelievers. It’s not ok to try to force them to type/believe/act/etc in a Christian way. If anything, you’re making it difficult for the next person who meets them. Now they have this in their head, so they will assume they will behave similarly.

I fish religiously and have friends who fish professionally but, the fastest way to get any of us off the water is lightening- we're all terrified of it. I don't care if I'm in a tournament or not- if it starts lightening I'm getting off the water wherever I can get to the fastest. If that's the ramp that's great, if it's someone's boat slip that's empty- that'll do to- or just someone's back yard - wherever I can get off the water and tie my boat off, I'm going for it. If it's a small creek or something its not that dangerous cause you're near the trees along the banks but- if you're on a lake you're the tallest object for a long ways- that's dangerous as hell. If you hear thunder then there is lightening- just because you can't see it yet doesn't mean anything accept it's time to get off the water, now.

Fishing rods aren't made of metal- they're either fiber glass, graphite, or carbon fiber- or most likely, some combination of the three. Doesn't matter though- when you're on the water you're the tallest object usually- and that's why t's so dangerous. All the anglers I know, and I know guys who fish professionally- are terrified of lightening when on the water. I'm no exception- if I'm nto extremly close to the ramp I won't even try to make it back, just find a dock, a boat slip, someone's back yard- whatever, I get off the water immediately. If you are stuck out there the thing to do would be to make your self as low as possible- go to the lowest part of the ship and lay down. Lower any antennas, rods anything sticking up if you can lower it.
