Dom has one of the saddest background story of all videogames... lost his brother, his parents, his children, watched his wife slowly fall in depress and madness and eventually lost her... And he sacrificed himself to not loose his last brother. as some say, if you've found Dom' story sad in the games, just read the books...

I'm a huge gears fan, (read all the books, collect the comics, got plenty of gears swag) and I liked this. Nice job man. Also, and this is my opinion, Dom's sacrifice I think is one of the best scenes in gaming. Considering how long the story built up to that moment, it was epic.

I highly recommend you play the Gears of War series. Lots of people just think its a classic FPS with big guys. But the story is actually really well developped and interesting

Usually I don't share emotions in videogames, but Gears was like the longest series I played and I read the comics and one or two books. and after Dom's death... Both my Gears partner and I dropped one or two tears and paused the game for a longer bit
