This happened to us. After living with my parents for a year, I was finally planning to fly home with my 2-year old and 11-month-old. I had a lot of luggage, and the apartment did not have an elevator. So I had to do multiple rounds to get all the luggage downstairs. And, of course, the door was ajar while I was doing all this. Meanwhile my dad was bringing the car around from parking so that we could load the luggage. Imagine our surprise when my dad walked into the apartment LIVID. We had not noticed when the baby had run out of the apartment, climbed four floors down, and stood right BEHIND our car. Dad said he had started his car, and was about to reverse, when something stopped him. He shut off the engine, climbed out of the car, and saw the little one standing behind the car. (His car did not have sensors or a reversing camera.) It was possible that my baby would've been run over that day by his own car. But the tragedy was averted simply because something stopped dad from moving the car. Thank God!!!

Ah the good old days when the kids could crawl around the back of a car and be comfortable vs. being strapped in a seat with their feet dangling in the air and no range of motion.

And never any problems we left our children to explore .Now a day's they're bubble wrapped or on computer's Not outside in the sunshine running around and playing Riding bike's and swinging out of tree branches
