I have learnt so much from this interview, thank you so much Miranda for showing up and sharing your vulnerability and authenticity - very heartfelt. Julia great space holding - thank you both, validating a few things for me to hold firm on as I navigate though life.

I was diagnosed with a chronic illness in my late teens and it desiccated my 20s. I’m mid 30s now and only just beginning to regain some kind of life. This was extremely moving, thank you.

Brilliant 😍 can relate to this and also with grief especially this year 2224 ,once I accepted I had the choice to let it overwhelm me or live with it and be kind to myself daily with how I feel and what I can do ,things begun to change as I'm dealing with daily mental and physical pain 😢Thankyou Miranda 🙏❤️ onwards and upwards at our own pace ❤

I am in a similar position and struggling with caring for cancer patients in my family. The worse part is they don't believe I have such a debilitating condition without a diagnosis. I feel unheard and betrayed as I continue my responsibilities. Thank you Miranda for your sharing. You are doing well.

I feel for you. Caring for husband at home and supporting adult children with late diagnosed genetic wasting disease, but I have unseen chronic pain/fatique of three decades. Hubby gets it but some onlookers think I’m being dramatic which adds to my stress and guilt.

@karenharvey2549 Bless you I can totally relate to this. We have taken on a huge responsibility and most days like you I have to push past my pain and fatigue to look after others and take on the financial strain. I pray we have the grace of continued strength to see this all through. I'm a grafter and worked very hard in life but this health crisis has knocked me for six.

Well done Miranda M.E is a tough nut to crack as it is always changing. I used 'awareness, acceptance, action' and tried to achieve one thing, no matter how small, everyday and built from there. Therapy is great for boundaries, remember there is outward boundaries to use in the outside world, and inner boundaries of your emotional world. Pacing, exercising (moving if you can), eating clean healthy food, sleep, meditation, therapy, try everything and go with what works for you.

Thank you both for this. So many of us have suffered in silence for decades, being totally misunderstood. I deeply appreciate the courage it took to tell your story Miranda. These conditions are only now just starting to come into the light of day. Every time someone speaks out, it helps enormously.

My husband was pratically one infection away from dying on his esrly 40's. He had been suffering for years. By the time he had the Schilling test his immunity levels were at 0.01%. He was working 60 hours a week. How he survived I will never know? Thanks to the Royal free hospital in London he was eventually diagnosed. He had apparently been born with hardly any immunity system. His weight had dropped to 54kg! He should be 64kg. The constant fatiged and infections were horrendous. He hardly ever had a day off in 15 years. After his diagnosis he started to receive three weekly infusions of anti-bodies. We relocated back to the North of Spain where he was born. He continúes his 3 weekly infusions plus B12 injections and vitamin D liquid monthly supplement. In the past 16 years he has been hospitalised once. It was such a long road for him to be diagnosed and very debilitating. Thank you for this Miranda chronic disease is no laughing matter. But I have to say I am a massive fan of your wit and personality. ❤

Thank you for sharing your 'gold'miranda An invisible chronic illness can be hell. I lived for years knowing something was wrong but not knowing what? . I was eventually diagnosed with Pernicious Anemia. Its so easily bypassed and missed by doctors.

Cognitive fatigue that comes in waves years after head injury, combined with medication for epilepsy. Never really physically fatigued as I can exercise and walk dog etc but cognitive fatigue is like no other, almost feeling inhuman, forgetting how to speak, think or articulate, voice goes all slurry etc it’s terrifying

Already I want to say how much I love that Miranda didn’t speak from a professional medical point of view like she was the doctor she’s talking from the human that’s in the situation and that is so valuable because we’re living the same feeling as her if we’re ill I sometimes feel with a medical doctor giving you options of you could feel like this or feel like that in certain conditions, but Miranda made it understandable because we love her she made it something we could relate to her treasures are the ultimate gift that we can all start somewhere with whatever illness we’ve got or vulnerability or fear we can all start with where we are to get to know it to be friended to overcome it to transform it and she has every gift in her words to restore us❤ mother mentor marvellous Miranda she parented herself she nurtured herself she advised herself that she could be Miranda the genuine authentic one of a kind beauty, human and approachable being😊🥰💖🙏🙏🙏🪄
