Thank you for watching! And you're right, they DID represent the Ryukyu Islands through Mugen and his backstory; Okuru's story in the Lullabies of the Lost episodes was about an Ainu village (at least, from the research I've done. I'm a white dude the middle of the U.S. - I could certainly be wrong!)
