A festive and informative presentation! Let the buying begin! I especially love when you recommend books that are(were) written for children but are enjoyed by all of us “old children“. They give one a feeling of nostalgia for the innocence and wonder of childhood. I live in Pennsylvania in the US and still reread the Little House on the Prairie series. Going back in time to feel the comfort you felt, in the place you felt the most at home in and the people you felt the most at home with can be as close as the book on your shelf! I appreciate all the time and effort it takes for you(and Mum) to make these videos. Such a joy!

Just stumbled upon your video. Thank you so much for the book recommendations, there are some gems in there for sure. How lovely to see the Children of Green Knowe book with the illustrations included. That would be a wonderful gift. I was lucky to find a vintage 1960's edition with the illustrations, when on holiday a couple of years ago in Lyme regis. There is a lovely secondhand bookshop there. ( I can't recall its name ) but it's a jumble of treasure inside. I just love the story of Green Knowe and it's a tradition of mine to watch the dvd at Christmas. :)

Have you ladies ever read any Louise Penny books? It’s along the lines of Miss Marple, except it’s Inspector Gamante. Based on your recommendations I have bought the Anne of Green Gables books which I read as a young child. I seem to remember there was a television series too.
