Happy Sunday! Welcome to my second (and final) London bookshop vlog from my recent trip. Mum and I went to our favourite bookshops in Notting Hill, and I took my Mum out for a special lunch at one of our most-loved restaurants. The city was looking beautiful, with wisteria blooming everywhere!

I'm so glad to see that you and Donna enjoyed your London visit. Everyone needs a break every once in a while. Lutyens & Rubinstein is the literary agency for my friend Lucy. I had no idea that they also had a bookshop. The Rossetti exhibit at the Tate looks amazing. I have loved the Pre-Raphaelites since my early 20's, and especially Dante Gabriel Rossetti. There is a wonderful novel about the Pre-Raphaelites' women by the Australian author Kate Forsyth called Beauty in Thorns. I would recommend it if you haven't yet read it. And please let Donna know that she has every right to celebrate Mother's Day twice as she looks like a fantastic mum!

I really enjoy the videos from Yorkshire and London. Both so interesting in different ways. Yorkshire seems slow paced ,lovely gardens ,just take your time poodle along no rush. Also the Bronte parsonage and Betty's. London busier crowded,lots going on so many exhibition, museums and restaurants. Peterhead nursery is so lovely. Such a treat,would like to visit. Oh a Rossetti exhibit 😮 I'd love to see that! I hardly get out to London 😅there are so many lovely places to see but I must say the bustle always feels a tad exhausting especially the crowded public transport. Not easy to escape the commuter rush. It really stays busy all afternoon to evening on my route.

What a perfect vlog for a Sunday evening 😊 I was cooking dinner while watching 😅just Mac and cheese but I like to add veggies too it and I made my own topping with a 4 cheese mix and crumbled cream crackers. Hi Miranda and Donna :), I have been following your channel for a while now and have been really enjoying all your vlogs and newsletters. They truly have made a big difference to my reading life. I am a Belgian living in the UK (but have also lived in Canada and the US) but growing up I was never familiar with many of the classics in English literature ; I never new where to begin as both my parents did not really read books. Nevertheless, I have always loved reading and have collected a 1000+ books over the years that have travelled with me to wherever I've lived at the time. I look forward to your vlogs every week - I watch them on my tv (which is why I was completely oblivious about how to donate !). What I am trying to say, in a very roundabout way, is that thanks to you I have discovered so many new writers and have therefore substantially expanded my library and my love for reading. It does help of course that you and your lovely mum share the same taste as I do :)). Not only that but your general life style additions have been highly useful as well (thanks to you I was able to become acquainted with the Serious Readers light which solved my night blindness once and for all !). Thank you for all your recommendations, your lovely recipes (please keep giving those!), sharing your favourite things and most of all for letting me into your lovely home ! Fabulous Vlog! 😍 Tho I live in London its always fab to see it through another persons eyes and also get recommendations and also reminders to visit places....(With so many things going on you often forget!) - will definately get to the Garden Museum this week before the show closes (thank for mentioning it!) as always love their shows /cafe - really enjoyed the the previous one on Lucian Freud & plants. Cant wait to visit the Petersham nurseries - Id bookmarked the one in Covent Garden but think Id prefer to visit the one in Richmond and do the walk on the river etc. Ive hardly been around Richmond (I live east) and always end up in Kew when I go that end 😀xx
