Hey, thanks for watching! Did you notice something new? A bit of a rebrand, but similar video content to Import Gaming FTW. I'll play around with this experiment for a few months and decide how I want to approach KZbin from there (new channel, return to IGFTW, quit(?), whatever). I think I can put out a video like this every couple of weeks, so I'll try that. Already working on the next one, just have to stop falling asleep right after work every day to make good progress and keep to a consistent uploading schedule.

@@importgamingftw Pretty much same. How to put it. Back then pixel art wasn't exactly by choice, it was forced due limitations, so you had to figure out yourself how to make it look real nice visually. Now with heaps of data mixed with weird nostalgy and pixel art being end goal - it's just easier to reiterate on what works for most people instead of trying to figure out things for yourself. Or overcomplicate animations just cause you can and there is no hardware limitations anymore, etc.

As obscure as games go this ones pretty unheard of not many PS1 games look like this at all. The game had great production values put in it you can tell from the art & animation it was made with love. Sadly even in Japan it's not an easilly found game, sometimes appears in the premium cases of retro shops but you will pay through the ass for a copy. Nice to see this game get a bit of attention, i'd say it will cause the price to go up on ebay but lets be real the game is already really expensive LOL
@importgamingftw9 күн бұрын
From what I've seen over the past year or so, the price of the game seems to have gone down slightly...still really pretty expensive, though, not something anyone will want to pick up casually unless they are Saudi oil barons or lucked out in the crypto game. Also, I don't think I have the type of pull to get any game to go up in price, ha ha.

These games are crazy, the fact that you'd buy a game and it'd be this borderline tamagotchi is a testament to how experimental early-(ish) vidya was. I feel like these days, if I don't get a full story with amazing character progression of some sort, I get mad like "This isn't worth the money I paid for it." Strange times. Speaking of, I know you said your Japanese is spotty, but have you ever considered either making a second channel and re-doing every video in Japanese, or idk if youtube lets you do two audio tracks, or even slapping them on the same channel idk, but it'd go well with the rebrand.

For modern stuff that isn't sold under standard retail pricing, yeah, I tend to expect a lot--not necessarily regarding length, but how deep the experience or world is.
