I referred the BookInfo Application of istio and then referred the section from 16:16, to be frank I got a very good understanding of how the VS and Gateway is bonded to istio ingress gateway. Thanks a lot.

Can we use traefik ingress controller instead of istio-ingress gateway? Traffic coming from traefik routers fails when the peerauthentication mode is STRICT in all namespace

Nice vedio !!!! hey i understood the node port however for ingress do we need to delete the node port service which you created before ...? can you pls get me the output of svc after creating ingress rule

What if we need to use nginx ingress controller? Do we still need istio ingress gateway for sending incoming traffic to istio?
