You'll remember me when the west wind moves upon the fields of barley You'll forget the sun in his jealous sky as we walk in fields of gold So she took her love for to gaze awhile upon the fields of barley In his arms she fell as her hair came down among the fields of gold Will you stay with me, will you be my love among the fields of barley? We'll forget the sun in his jealous sky as we lie in fields of gold See the west wind move like a lover so upon the fields of barley. Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth among the fields of gold I never made promises lightly and there have been some that I've broken But I swear in the days still left we'll walk in fields of gold We'll walk in fields of gold Many years have passed since those summer days among the fields of barley See the children run as the sun goes down among the fields of gold You'll remember me when the west wind moves upon the fields of barley You can tell the sun in his jealous sky when we walked in fields of gold When we walked in fields of gold, when we walked in fields of gold

Mirek, this is an incredible performance, and it inspires me to try to learn it, although I admit that your playing is a couple of notches above my current ability, and the intonation and emotion you are able to squeeze out of the arrangement is something I am unlikely to reach even if I can play the notes. I really enjoyed it and am sharing it with my guitar friends. I've subscribed to your channel and am planning to watch your other videos once I have the time. Please stay safe and well, and continue to contribute your wonderful talent and feeling to those of us who admire you.

+Clauss Thank you for comment. Before the guitar is cheap Chinese condenser microphone and handy recorder ZOOM H1N, microphone is connected to Marshall AS50D amp, on the amp jast set reverb and chorus. Thus the ZOOM H1N recorder, record sound directly from your guitar and amplifier. Then reverb, compression and normalization in the program audacity. That's all.

Very nicely done! A timeless classic, that you make look easy. You, Don, and Hansel are wonderful players. I play Don Holloway's arrangement. I am 66 and started playing in high school. (With 10 years off, after seriously injuring my right hand in 2010.) so I know the hard work and discipline it takes. My right hand is finally starting to work again. Going to see how I do with Hansel's arrangement... will give an update a year from now.... I do have questions for you, if you don't mind: Your guitar "looks" like a custom Martin D-45--am I right or wrong? I don't mind being wrong... I have a 2 Martins (HD-28 P Morado, circa 1990; OM-28 new) and hoping to get a Taylor 814ce Deluxe V-class next month... wishful thinking--a give away contest, though I should get another Martin... also what capo are you using? Again, a stunning performance!
@MirekSadowski4 жыл бұрын
I love comments longer than 3 words - thank you very much. You're right, the guitar is fake cheap Chinese D45 Martin. As you know, every guitarist would like to have an unlimited number of guitars. I didn't have $ 7,000 so I bought it for $ 250 - I couldn't resist. When the guitar hit me, it was impossible to play it. I started reading and watching films about guitar making. Then I started my guitar experiments: I leveled the frets, moved the bridge and slimmed down the ribs. Now the guitar sounds so much that I recorded 2 songs on it. It was 3 years ago and since then I had a new passion - building guitars. For a year, I was making tools, machines and jigs. Then came guitars. Until today I have done 5 Grand Auditorium, 2 OM, 1 Parlor, Les Paul and Fender Stratocaster. The guitars sound and look great. I made one of the guitars with V-braceing like in Taylor. I hope that I will record something on them, although the passion for building is still stronger than playing. The capo is also a cheap but very good Chinese product AROMA - I recommend it. I am waiting for your recordings, I hope that the hand injury will not prevent you from playing. If you have questions, write. Sorry for my english, best regards.

@@MirekSadowski I like talking with fellow musicians, however I usually listen more than I talk... I have an old school Shubb capo and a G7th Nashville, both pull all but my G string sharp, a constant hassle... and the Shubb is hard on the back of the neck. Back in 1990, I was working for a local luthier, running his guitar shop while he was starting up "The Kit Factory." I got to choose one of 4 HD-28 P Morado (limited production at less than 200 guitars, IIRC.) His name was Ed McGlincy, and had built one of Gordon Lightfoot's guitars. while I was there, I built a Martin D-45 style knock off, I have pictures of it, signed the inside of the top, and Nitro Lacquer was outlawed in California, so I was never able to complete the project, and it has sat in the case ever since. A shame, because I had the build bug pretty bad myself. my hand is a tough one... My hand is numb (my ring, pinky and part of my palm.) So it is a battle, but I keep saying to myself that Merle Travis played with his thumb and index finger, and people play missing fingers and do very well, so it is just a matter of time I guess. Right now I can Travis pick up a storm with thumb and index, middle, my pinky is sluggish, so I won't be doing any recording soon... I am having issues getting beyond that, into complex melodies, but am making progress--slowly. I have an ominous medical diagnosis other than my hand, so I don't know how far I will get; but hey I can make the stretch from the 6th string 3rd fret to the 1st string 8th fret in Miss Quevedo's arrangement of "The Winner Takes it All," of course that is only half the battle: making that stretch and actually getting it to flow well, are different issues. Your English is fine, and I appreciate the response. Best Regards.

@@jimmcfadden5923 Kapo must meet several conditions: - The rubber pressing down the strings must be soft enough to work, even though the strings are of different thickness and in addition, different guitars have a different fingerboard profile (9.5 ', 12', 16 ' ...). - The pressure must not be too strong to tune the guitar with the capo on. - The pressure must be strong enough to prevent the strings from jingling when playing dynamically - Kapo must not interfere with the game - Kapo cannot destroy the guitar - For me, aesthetics and price are also important :-) All these conditions are met by the capos of the company I mentioned. You started building a guitar, so it's a very common phenomenon among guitarists. I would love to see the effects. If nitro is prohibited, you can finish off with shellac. A hand injury is a disaster for a guitarist, but the most important thing is that you play. You play for yourself, overcoming difficulties and limitations. My fingers are short and thick, some of the tracks require tedious practice, but it is very satisfying. Recordings on YT are actually the least important part of this passion. Best Regards
@jimmcfadden59234 жыл бұрын
@@MirekSadowski I looked on Amazon for the Capos you mentioned, found them, and the one I thought I should get is not available... I had the new martin over at the shop, today, to do a final action setup on it, a slight tweak on the truss rod, (I won't mess with that, saddle OK, but not the truss-rod,) and returned the one I had bought, and just gave in and picked up a G7th Performance 3, the aesthetics are there, it appears to be clamping the strings evenly, (Elixir 12/53; tuned to E♭) silicon pads, though still had to do slight re-tune, but was just a small turn under and back up and the capo did not grip the strings so much that it was a problem... more money, but...I had the refund on the other one. I am trying to figure out how to get you some images of the guitar build... Shellac does the job, but I don't think it is right for a "Martin Knock-off." There are two luthiers up north about 40 miles that are allowed by the EPA to shoot nitro lacquer, but the price to shoot it and finish it up (I no longer have the tools or a work space) .... well, I bought the OM-28 was the same cost... and the build would probably not come back for 6 months, by then it will be my great niece that will get to enjoy it, along with the two Martins. Never know though. I would like to get it done, just the same. I have fairly small hands relatively speaking, with slender fingers. To do that 5 fret stretch, 6 - 1, I have to drop my elbow and move my forearm forward to make it, with a capo on fret 2, it is much easier, so can work my way down... good to be able to play in more than just one key anyway. My practice sessions are very tedious, one measure at a time... plus stretching exercises... boring stuff to help my right hand ... 10 years away, is a long time... Regards to you Sir.
