Great question! I like using Mint and QuickBooks for my personal and business budgeting. But there are lots of great apps out there that work just as good! Salon Scale is another great product/app that helps you calculate your cost of supply per client.

Do u recommend stylists calculate based on gross pay or pay after taxes/expenses

Great question! All these/most calculations should be based on gross so you know what you have left over to pay yourself.

I take into account both, but ultimately net revenue before and after EBITA
