The 5 year old child wanted it Chin length! The kind, Experienced stylist knew that it would not look good, and the little girl doesn't understand that she'd be a Teenager beore it grew that length again🤷🏽♀️ At 5, ONE year is forever ! Her hair now will tangle less, and that length will swing around her neck and feel good ❣️❣️❣️👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❣️

No mama you played it right. You can always take more off but you cant put it back so allowing her to get used to this length was a great compromise for both of you.

If she wanted short and straight she should’ve done that. There’s nothing wrong with straight hair. Just like there’s nothing wrong with curly hair. You can straighten your hair without thinking your curls are ugly or liking straight hair more.

The other day I saw the sweetest little girl like this at a wedding I was at she was getting her hair done and cut the way she wanted. She was so confident and cute. Hope she stays like that forever. I’d give anything to go back when I had full confidence in myself, you’re such a great supportive mom and I know you’ll be there for her rough teenage years

Curly hair is beautiful, but just like women curl their hair for beauty, some people straighten it for beauty. As soon as she showers next it will curl back up again. I don't see an issue with cutting her hair and using a straightener to style it how she wants for a day
