Man I'm so glad that we Mexicans are showing are diverse nature. From Ranchera, conjuntos, Norteno, rap, heavy metal, Morrissey to this bad ass music. Can't stop us... we are to deep in this world to ignore us. Good stuff hermana please keep the good work up and never get tunnel vision.

I sure don't want to stop you. This white boy from Chicago is digging "your" music. The videos are extraordinary.
@ericcasarez10034 жыл бұрын
@@mitchgawlik1175 haven't we met on KZbin before? I recognize your name. Anyway if not Gawlik is Polish. We have a mess load of Gawlik and a huge Polish community in my part of Texas. I'm 10 minutes from Panna Maria, TX which means Virgin Mary in Polish. Good hard working people.

@@ericcasarez1003 Interesting note. I don't want to say I don't remember but at the moment I'm drawing a blank. I have a son living in Texas, stationed at an Air Force base. Yes, we're of the Polish persuasion even though I was born in Chicago. Now I've got to dig on some Pepe Marquez and Miriah Avila. Take care.

Do you guys know that in the history in doo wop rock roll music in the states was coming to an end right when the Beatles came to the US and change the whole spectrum of the industry of music. Black groups started to declined in popularity and records were not sellming RnB black groups in the turn of the 60s, but thanks to many of us La Raza Mexicans enthusiasts for the passion of these great ballads harmony groups, no one talks about this in history while this was shutting down here in the States in Mexico the records were so scarcely made there it was very rare to acquired a 45 disc from a third record studio or pressings co. Rock n roll records literally had to be shipped from the US, and the music flourished to a bigger phenomenon in Mexico then here alone in the States. We greatly appreciate this music and until now as a write this comment we still managed to pass it along to our next generation of doo wop Rock n roll lovers of our own. The barrios, the gangs, cholos chicanoMexicans you call us we had, have and always contributed their admiration and success that this artist of the past continued to perform with our great support of ours the Raza communities. Time in history for your facts. Ke viva las oldies mi Raza!!!

The early 60's "British Invasion" was made up of groups who loved American blues and soul music. Before the Brit bands arrived on our shores, those genres, especially the blues, had been woefully ignored by mainstream AM radio and its listeners. What those bands did was ignite a love for the blues, ironically, in the country of its origin. Now it appears that Chicano culture is reviving a style of music that only Boomers, a dying breed, can remember first hand. Reviving these classic songs is something that should be promoted and praised, they do it with style and abundant talent. In a time when history is largely ignored by the young, listeners will benefit greatly from hearing these songs. What these artists are doing is as important to American culture as was the British Invasion.

Yes. So many different artists revisiting old school. And YES! Each has a unique voice, so much better than these highly tuned, refined, overpaid under-talented "superstars". NONSENSE! This is some real good stuff!
