I love it. Thank you for your story! I learned not too long ago that head covering is part of my religion as well. It was a difficult transition because I kept getting headaches and I really struggled to make it work. But I found it to be so beautiful and so much fun, too. Thank you!

I’m Muslim, and in my country a sign of CULTURE,it’s not a Islamic thing so not mandatory but some of us tend to do it as culture and tradition We wear the hijab and cover our hair as a sign that we are single and when u are married u can take it off Now let me make myself clear, when you are married you can take it off in front of women and then obviously your husband and family members , and even when u are single too again this is NOT MANDATORY but following Islam you must wear it outside in front of strangers married or single from the age of 12 or from the start of puberty you MUST COVER YOUR HAIR (women can see your hair ) I’m from Yemen and we follow this tradition because we mostly do arranged marriages so when we do family gatherings or weddings or parties or whatever it is there is no gender mixing so when the you are looking for a bride you see the ones that are wearing the hijab most of them would be single and the ones that are without it most of the time are married that’s how you would know but once again, whether you were married or not you don’t need to wear in these parties and gatherings since they are all women you don’t need to cover your hair you would need to cover your body and curves but not your hair!! I just wanted to share this because the diversity of religion and culture is amazing 💗🇾🇪

I am not Jewish but, I love seeing the Jewish women wearing head wraps. They are so beautiful. I would wear them if I were Jewish.
@SOSAYALLOFME Жыл бұрын
You don't have to be Jewish to wear a hradwrap, it is worn by many different cultures all over the world. If you like headwraps wear them.

I hope you don't mind me saying but that's kinda similar to the Muslim culture

as a muslim it is lol! judaism, christianity and islam are all abrahamic religions so we are related through the prophet abraham. so we have similar commandments :D the difference between islam and judaism in terms of hair coverage is that muslim women cannot cover using wigs and the headscarf that they wear has to cover the entirety of the head area + the neck and chest + modest clothing too. ye but just saying
@nadar.9941 Жыл бұрын
It's not similar. She covers her for marriage so that if people see her covered they'll know that she's a married woman in her jew community. However, muslim women cover themselves, because it's a command from Allah, and the modesty is a way of life that includes not only outer modesty but internal modesty and a way of getting closer to The Creator and focusing on things that matter.
@chaoswarrior748 Жыл бұрын
@@nadar.9941 That don't make it not similar? Head coverings are a similarity don't have to be for the same reason

@@nadar.9941 She uses wigs many times when she's in public. So no, people would not know if she's married or not.

They respect jews for covering their hair but it’s another thing when a muslim woman does .. sad.
@кринжовник-ъ9н Жыл бұрын
who they? you're talking like antisemitism doesn't exist. the reason why people started to wear wigs instead of hair coverings is precisely because of antisemitism
@malkamain7379 Жыл бұрын
No, “they” don’t. Orthodox Jews get a lot of pushback for the way they dress and live. There are plenty of Western activists that accuse Orthodox women of participating in self-subjugation just like they do Muslim women.

@Bella-bn2lq Жыл бұрын
Depends on the community, some people do cut it off others keep it and cover it. But anyone who covers their hair for a long time knows it starts to look very different when it doesn’t get air or sunlight.
