This made sense, I remember learning about PNF patterns, but we never applied them to functional activities. Thank you!

When I think D2 flex/ext., I always think grabbing a seatbelt and buckling it.

D2 flex/ext is the Passengers seatbelt. Think passenger being the 2nd person in the car. D1 flex/ext is driver seatbelt. The #1 seat in the car.
@LaurLeod4 жыл бұрын
This is a little out of reach, but how my brain works. **I remember both D ext is where you click in the seatbelt because you can purchase a seat buckle extender for larger folks. The seat belt extender makes the red button piece longer.

Thank you OT Miri! I'm a first semester OTA student and these couple of approaches we are going through are daunting while reading. You're definitely helping me with this. I'm glad my brother's fiancee told me about you!

You rock! I am taking the NBCOT in about 6 weeks and have been watching your videos! They're always so helpful in clarifying and reviewing info! Thank you so much for your time to make them - you are helping all of us thrive! Also, another good example of D2 extension is putting on a seatbelt :)

Oh I'm so happy to hear it, Kaitlyn! These are some of the content areas that were difficult for me so I'm happy to be able to share my tips to help alleviate some burden you may be feeling. And yes, seatbelt is another great example!

I just put on my make up with you while watching this video and that really helped me! Anyone else watching this video, take out your eyeliner and lipstick!!! also for D1 flexion putting a bobby pin in your hair on the left side, that helped me! Thank you!

Ha! I wish I could have seen a photo of that! Maybe one day, you’ll join me in creating videos for our profession and share your love and light far and wide ❤️

OT Miri I would love to do that!!!!:) hehe. Your videos are so inspiring. My boyfriend and I were talking the other day in filling out this little questionnaire and one of the questions is what would you be famous for and he answered "doing videos like OT miri.." my response. "I wish!" That would be so cool! I get so nervous in front of a camera tho!:)

Nikky! Join me!!! I will wait for you! The great thing about publishing KZbin videos is that you can start with almost nothing- just your passion and a monitor with a camera. You can then record as many times as you'd like, in the comfort of your own home, and edit it until you're pleased with the final product. If you would have asked me last year what I would be doing in 2017, the last thing I would have said is, "making KZbin videos." I'm not a very public person and I never imagined that I would ever be doing this today. Although it has been a completely uncharted, unfamiliar and vulnerable process, it has given me a different kind of courage, strength and motivation like never before. It is truly a meaningful endeavor and one I hope you will undertake if you so feel compelled. I will be here to support you and cheer you on through every stage of your growth. Love you, Nikky! You'll reach the stars!!!

Hi Miri! I love watching your videos! Finally, I've found a way to relax and study at the same time! Ha! I'm wondering if you can add into these videos what diagnosis these interventions would be appropriate. I know PNF is good for limited ROM, right? I'm having a hard time with this one. TIA!

@MiriLee8 жыл бұрын
Hi, are you a part of my Facebook group OT Miri? I just finished out a review of SCI C1-C8 this week. I synthesized and compiled what I thought were some key functional outcomes to know for each level, along with some intervention strategies.
