I feel like being blinded wouldn't really faze Mirio considering he goes blind regularly from using his quirk. Seeing how Todoroki and Bakugo would've tried facing Mirio would've been interesting, but no doubt they would've gotten the same treatment as Deku and the others.

To defeat mirio you need a a few things. You need to better at prediction than he is, better fighting capabilities, or a counter quirk. Eraser head + any combat type hero would be a pretty bad match up for him.

The way I see it, Mirio would likely have trouble with several types of Quirks: the first being one that allows the user to remain airborne and out of Mirio's reach. The next would be any sort of Quirk that allows the user to either shrug off or deflect an incoming impact that did not require conscious thought to activate (kinda like Gaara's "Absolute Defense" in Naruto). The third would be Quirks that allowed the user to alter their physical structure to something more malleable and fluid (like the Sludge Villain in the beginning of the series). The fourth would be any Quirk that allowed the user to either predict the future or keep track of Mirio no matter where he went or what he did (such as Ragdoll's stolen "Search" Quirk). Just my opinion though.

Mirio is more than capable for the pro level. Most villains wouldn’t be able to keep up with him or be able to land a hit on him considering how skilled he is with his quirk, and no hero comes close to All Might’s level of power, so I don’t see that as a mark against him. Especially since a lot of heroes compensate for their lack of power through other means. Remember that Best Jeanist is the number four hero, and he doesn’t have overwhelming power anywhere close to All Might either. When Aizawa says that he’s closest to being number one he means it. By every metric required to be a hero, which is more than just power level, Mirio would excel. Plus like he said he’s spent a year in the real world dealing with actual villains, so it’s not like he’s just good against students.

Heisenberg101 There isn’t a lot of detail to the line other than Aizawa saying that he’s closest to number one. Whether or not Mirio would actually be the number one hero once he became pro isn’t as important as the fact that he would be a strong contender in Aizawa’s eyes. The way I see it, I would say that he has the greatest potential to be number one when you factor in everything that defines the rankings of a hero: contribution to society, number of cases solved, level of difficulty in cases solved, combat ability, rescues, etc. Mirio has a strong work ethic, super skilled with his quirk, and has a charming personality that makes him so positive and likable. He’s a bright light in the same way that All Might is, so I think he would have a chance at dethroning Endeavor as the number one hero.

Mirio's power is absolutely insane. If he was a villain, he could have literally crushed Midoriya's eyeball when his hand went into his head. He can phase his body to be untouchable and then phase just his fingers to crush an enemy's organs lol. I think some people are underestimating how powerful that quirk is, with the right work ethic and application skills.

WRONG, mirio stated that 2 Masses can’t overlap each other, so all that would happen would be midoriya getting pushed back away from his finger or mirio’s arm getting pushed away from Midoriya, hence how mirio is able to phase through the ground and shoot back up by unphasing, unlike other phasers, like from xmen and so forth, who would die if they stopped phasing in a wall, mirio just gets pushed back out of the wall because two masses cannot overlap in the my hero academia world

It is true that Mirios strength is weak compared to all might. However, he has an abnormal amount of strength for someone who doesn't have a strength enhancement quirk. According to the my hero academia wiki, he can crush floors easily. And you saw what his punches did to the students. Combine that strength with his insane quirk and you have an absolute monster on your hands. His power will be showcased in season 4 and I can't wait.

That's why he said he turns his "experience" into power. He's making up the weakness of his abilities by training himself against the many ways people try to counter him. He was trying to get them to see that, even though characters like Todoroki have crazy quirks. Bakugo is an example used also shown here as he beat Deku even with All Might's quirk. Experience

I guess Bakugou could hurt Mirio a little bit, by launching a barrage of explosions after sensing the attack like Deku did. I don’t think he’d be able to land a punch and leave unscathed when fighting Bakugou. Same for any student with a ranged quirk that’s sort of covers some area.

Am I the only one who’s realised that how laws of physics work, if even light passes straight through Mirio, as said when he mentioned he can’t see anything when he’s phasing, then the light a person, like midoriya, would use to see mirio would pass straight through him too, thus making him invisible to the naked eye, but it doesn’t which just breaks the laws of basic physics 🤣

chris crookham I like it as a joke name for Mirio because he’s a young All Might, and Small has the word All in it so it flows better. It incorporates the idea that Mirio embodies the ideals of All Might, but he’s still a student. False Might would suggest that he’s just a pretender who doesn’t actually embody any of All Might’s ideas. I’ve only ever heard Small Might in relation to Mirio, and personally I think it fits better for Mirio than All Might’s weakened form. It’s not even that big of a deal though since most times I just use his actual name.

I don't think you guys get the concept of how broken powerful Mirio quirk is in combination with his natural physique very well. His quirk neutralize all form of strength & attack. Even an All-Might united state of smash would go pass thru Mirio. His teleport trick allows him to bypass almost all defense and guard.
