I have the same set up. All 3 sanders from mirka too. My biggest problem is the huge bag in the small vacuum.

Great stations! Have two of em at work only thing I can fault are the power cords, the wires break inside the plug that plugs into the sander we have gone through that many of them

Hey Mr Gunman, I saw the flex on your channel but after looking into it by the time it was shipped to Australia it was just too much money. I ended up going for the mirka sander and vacuum. Anyway Merry Christmas to you and your family man.

The feeling you were taking about with vibration in your hands is called White finger it affects the nerves in the fingers. In the UK if you worked at a job that worked with vibrating tools you can claim for the damage from the company for this it affects your fingers for life if it's severe enough

We have those vacuums at work and I found the guys using it weren't smart enough to keep both of the filters clean and it would shut down for overheating. Great machine but the sander vibrates more than a 3M

Ive got a makita geared orbital sander which looks like a rupes. SANDPAPERS: Have you tiried EAGLE papers? I have had really good experiences with them, less expensive than 3m and IMHO a much better paper. Their 1500 and 2000 wet dry is heads and shoulders above 3m.

Due to space restrictions unfortunately most of my prep work is done in my spraybooth so I've used dust extraction for a long time. I made a cyclone to go in front of a regular vacuum to help reduce the dust going through to the vacuum bag. Works a treat. The Karcher crapped out only a couple of weeks ago now after getting a good flogging for 6 or so years. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXjTpKxnhdKHhdksi=i1tJhytqp2--Ri5p

We have both off those mirka Sanders , the electric block is pretty good to get a panel into shape but for the last touch i prefer a block , i personally like the pedal on the Sanders it feels more familiar, i did try the mirka galaxy its pretty good comparable to 3m but the p1000 in galaxy is absolute dog shit , starts pig tailing instantly , the Sanders are not that expensive here in the Netherlands we ordered a extra one and it only cost us 280 euro's it was on sale but a 1000 ausie dollars is nuts

I have been working with festool EC 150/5 EQ for over ten years. I bought the flex sander after seeing it on the channel. and after two years. for me flex is the better tool

I bought an 3m electric one. I've been using it for a year. It looks good and is lightweight, plus it's reasonably priced at $600 Australian

I love my Mirka sander and vacuum system. I don't have the cart. But use it daily for 3 years now and it's awesome. Very lightweight and it comes with different weights you can change out so you don't get tired and numb hands. It actually can connect to your phone via Bluetooth and tell you how many vibrations per hour your getting. In Europe they have safety standards that only allows for so many vibrations per 8 hour shift. You can also change the rpm pogrom your phone. What really sold me was the salesman had a nice new black jacket. And I paint boats and cars and we had a white chunk of fiberglass with white gelcoat. He sanded it and then wiped his fingers across it then wiped his fingers on his new coat and nothing came off. The vacuum is a beast and is fairly quite. It is a bit pricey but it's a nice piece with nothing that feels cheep on it except the hose holder bracket, they failed on that but it works fine. And in a dusty environment like a fiberglass shop this brushless motor keeps on working. I take it on noble jobs and saves me from getting in trouble with the EPA And little old ladies lol

I’ve had my Mirka vacuum and cart for 8 years now and upgraded to the electric sander 6 years ago and have two of them ,it’s a very well built cart. My cart does not have the drawers

I do trucks and tractors and I have the flex at work and it is just too heavy for all-day sanding. I also have the Mirka and the Mirka is much lighter but the bearings don't last as long. We also have the Festool sanding wagon which is the same design as the flex so heavy but it breaks constantly. My boss purchased like 10 of the Festool sanding sets and we constantly have one in the repair shop and the repair costs here in Germany are astronomical. That's where they get you, we had a cable plug go bad and it was 300 euros to fix it and a new sander is 500. Of course, the sanders are running sometimes for 8 hours a day nonstop and we go through backing plates once a month. In my experience, if you oil the air sanders daily they last much much longer but the noise is terrible. We have on our truck and boat side and 8 painters so some days we would have 8 air sanders going nonstop so you can imagine the noise. On the truck side, the technician does the whole job from start to finish so usually we have a couple of guys painting but it was still loud.

Great review Gunny, I swear by the Electric Mirka Deros but as you say they can vibrate but there is a way to reduce the vibes by unscrewing the backing plate and inside there are 3 screws that you can remove in any combination to help balance it better, you can have 1, 2 or all 3 screws fitted in any of the holes plus there is an app for your phone where you can monitor the vibration levels to help you reduce them. I thought I would mention the above just in case it helps someone👍John UK

I really like Mirka sand paper and disc. I pretty much use mirka disc and my 2.750" wide rolls for blocking. Only other brand I use is for 3000, 5000, and 8000grit i use 3m trizact. Ive been wanting to get the Mirka electric orbital. I think the mirka is better than the 3m sander. I didnt know Flex had that. I love both of my Flex polishers so i will look in to Flex.

Been using this 8+ years on gelcoat and fiberglass. Got the old rolling stand which is severely overpriced. Deros 650 on avg lasts at the most 2 years. 3m dust collector is much better. I still prefer dynobrade air sanders. Run much cooler.

I have the old style Mirka CEROS 625CV and CEROS 650CV with separate power supply and the new style Mirka DEROS 650CV with the power supply built in the DA . I much prefer the old style that feels much more like an air palm DA. It's much lighter than the new style with more power. When they changed to the power supply inside the sander it made it too heavy and bulky.
