Miro just isn’t a draw. He either needs to be a monster, or a special attraction if he’s not going to be booked to win a title, and he isn’t enough of a draw to be a special attraction. Plus, since he signed, they’ve been signing bigger and bigger stars who can go 30-60 minutes that would have to lose to Miro to build him back up and AEW doesn’t want to do that.

If Miro/Rusev is hoping to go back to WWE, thats kind of hard to say if it'd happen. Yes, if he came out as a surprise entrance in The Royal Rumble he'd get a huge pop from the fans... but after that, what would WWE do with him? One could come up with matches like "Oh he could feud with... and then after that with..." but there are so many people on the rosters now and guys waiting to come up from NXT that they could find a bunch of other guys that "could feud with... and then after that with..." - if he doesn't have big time star power, is a big draw or is somebody new then he is just another generic mid card guy that they could easily interchange with any other generic mid card guy.

I know this is a contrarian view many like to mock. But I don't believe The Redeemer run has been nearly as good as conventional wisdom suggests. A lot of his promos where cryptic riddles I couldn't wait for him to finish and most of the time he's been playing the cult leader completely devoid of followers. Every time AEW's come up with the stories that could have made the gimmick work right like the feuds with the House of Black or Powerhouse Hobbs, injuries and back luck got in the way. It really is time for him to go and get reset somewhere else.

Miro/Rusev signed with AEW when Tony Khan was on a "pop of the week" kick where every week he was either introducing some new signing, announcing a big return, or promoting an upcoming special episode of Dynamite. He served his purpose: he was announced, came out, got a huge pop, got his "MIRO IS ALL ELITE" graphic and then that was it... the next week something else came along for the crowd to get excited over.
