Pero en serio, escuché esta pieza en una película llamada Llámame por tu nombre (gran película por cierto) y me enamoré de ella. (Por cierto, esta pieza no estaba en Tu mentira en abril, pero simplemente pensé que esta foto iba bien con la pieza.) You should know that piano, especially impressionist music, is extremely subjective. Yes, Laplante has a beautiful recording of this piece, but the mood he's trying to evoke is different than the one in this piece. The dyanmics are not "perfect" in any of them - anyone who played the dyanmics exactly how Ravel wrote them would be doing Ravel a disservice. The dynamics in this recording are in a way that I like, and that I myself will strive to replicate. At this high of a level, comparing recordings is nonsense. You don't like this recording - I do.

Really beautiful piece. If you’re going to learn it, it’s not too bad, just be prepared for 17 or 18 pages of arpeggios. My issue with it was trying to keep everything light. I still suck at playing it
