finally a rybakina highlight! congrats to rybakina, she pulled such a great comeback when it looked like she was completely gone. andreeva played so well and she's only 16, really expecting a lot from her in the years to come!

Rybakina will play sabalenka next, very tough draw for both, Coco also got tough draw, while Swiatek is handed a super soft draw. Raybakina and Saba both critisized recent "bye rule" change, while Swiatek supported, hope the draw is not relevant with who spoke up

Can’t help but think WTA is punishing Rybakina for her “performance bye” arguments. A belated highlight of a Rybakina match, only one of her so far from Beijing and the very last one posted. In the meantime, Sabalenka, Ostapenko, Swiatek and Gauff all had 2 highlights each! Pure nonsense.

is it? Elena needs a reality check. Getting beat up 6-2 in the first set by a 16 year old is not a good thing my friend. If her tennis fluctuates like this, their opponent's job will get easier by the day. She makes errors like a junior player. I guess, you did not watch the whole game.

It's easy to forget that only a few months ago this girl was still playing Juniors/ITF level events, and now she's here playing main draw Grand Slams and 1000s against top players. I don't think it's fair to say that Mirra choked or "gave up", she's just getting used to the top level. The intensity that's required to just stay in rallies with a heavy hitter like Rybakina is insane, and Andreeva managed to do it for almost 2 full sets. She will go very far, and you can learn a lot more from losses like this than from destroying everyone in every ITF tournament you play.

She actually made progress, earlier this year she hit balls into the crowd, beat her legs and cried during matches, argued with umpires and refused to shake hands with one of them. Now she did what, threw her racket once after losing a set from 4-2? Not the best thing to do, but that happens all the time. She seems to be more composed now. It's not easy at 16.

Why even compare? Mirra is 16, when Coco was 15 she beat 5 time Wimbledon champ Venus Williams ON GRASS at Wimbledon. Does Mirra have a win like that so far in her career? Idk about that, especially after that ass whooping that Coco gave her at the US Open... She's definitively better than Brenda Fruhvirtova or her big sister Erika tho. But it's too early to draw any conclusion right now cuz there are a lot of things that we don't know yet about her. We'll have to wait and see how she'll back up the results of this season next year, how she'll perform when the pressure will be higher than what she's facing this year, how she'll be once her opponents will figure her out. We've seen a lot of players who did well in their 1st season on the tour when they had nothing to lose, but then they struggle to back it up the season after.

Mirra has moments when she is incredibly fast, makes good decisions, defends brilliantly and is practically error-free. It was like that for the first half of the match. However, suddenly she loses all these advantages and is completely lost. He needs to work on his mentality, but he's only 16, so he has a lot of time ahead of him to become number 1.

She's obviously talented but along with other talented youngsters out there, until they actually win a few big WTA tournaments then the jury is still out...Mirra needs to sort out the mental side of her game, her game went to pieces in the final set..there's a reason why she still hasn't beaten a top 10 player yet but at least time is on her side.

Andreeva exposed Rybakina here, Elena can only over power and has no answers for variety hence Barty dealt with her easily.

Andreeva is still quite far from Barty excelence. She can get there, though.
