These falls don't see that bad, but as a skater these falls are so gnarly to me. So much respect for bmxers . I did bmx for like a year from 14 to 15. Learned broncos, a couple other tricks best being a 360 I landed a handful of times. I went up to a jump, fell bad, and the handle bar turned a jabbed me in my chest, breaking a rib. I hung it up after that. Sold my FELT Bike and stuck to skateboarding. Its so much easier to learn to fall on a skateboard. Learning to fall is a part of skateboarding, BMX, and probably most similar sports.

What a hard day to be a judge. A 900 tail whip vs a tail whip to decade. I'd have to vote for the tail whip to decade, just off of how technical the trick is. Kinda feels wild saying that because I remember watching Jay Miron bringing the 540 whip in the middle of his vert run, and crashing hard, like two or three years in a row or something. And that looked insane back then.

I liked Sandoval's trick better, like most of the people commenting here, but from a judging perspective I think the tailwhip 900 might be the cleaner, more difficult single trick. Consider how long it took people to even pull a 900 clean in park consistently and then imagine how insane it is to add a whip or barspin in there with your back to the concrete and knowing you still have abotu 1.5-2.0 full spins left to complete before landing. I think it was more fun to watch Sandoval's trick since it was much more unexpected and creative, but I think from a technical perspective the whip 9 takes it by a small margin. It was also just a cleaner run, in general, I think.
