I just beat the elite 4 in Prism. What a game. I haven’t played a pkmn game nonstop like this since XY era. I’m excited for RainbowDevs to finish the rest of this, and am really looking forward to playing the post game rn. A true gem that I highly recommend all pkmn fans to play. Love Prism, I get that Nintendo are well within their rights to take down projects like these. However it just sucks when the current regime at GF are hell bent on creating the most bland, stale, mind-numbing, Nostalgia Pandering experiences out there... Well Made fan games like these help bring the franchise to new audiences, as well as giving their pre-existing audience a new experience. If they really see fan projects like this as competition, there's a good fix for that: Make more engaging Pokemon Games, rather than the 8th re-tred of Kanto only easier because of the busted exp share.

Mark Jacobs the patch includes at least Riolu and Lucario, which do not exist in code prior to gen 4 games. Those are nintendo's IP and can't be distributed in patches without giving them grounds for a takedown

Pokemon Sun and Moon sucked. Its successor Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon sucked too. I've played all GBA, NDS, 3DS, Wii U games that Nintendo made. Most of them are hilariously childish. So what about grown up Pokemon Fans? Should they play these childish games? This is the reason why there are Rom Hacks out there. Nintendo shut down Wi-Fi support for Pokemon games upto 5th Gen. That's another reason there are ROM hacks which have all Pokemon in one region. Nintendo games are childish, easy and too straightforward. The story is trash and same as well. That's why there are ROM hacks. Maybe Nintendo should care about older fans a bit and release better games. Better collaborate with these developers and make a spin-off by changing what they don't like and sell it away as official Pokemon spin-off game. But maybe, they think they are superior and games they make are best. I think they should start playing hacked Pokemon games to know how low graded their games are.

Julian Gonzalez well the way rom hacks stay legal is that they don't include any IP directly. It's just changing the code of the existing game. They fucked up by including real gen 4 Pokemon (I saw riolu at least), which is 100% nintendos IP. If they made up new Pokemon and didn't include any Nintendo IP that wasn't already in gen 2 games, they should have been fine

Siko Well, in the case of this hack, the patch itself contains copyrighted content - all the new Pokemon that were added. Although there are several hacks like Glazed and Theta Emerald EX with this stuff too, but they're safe. Weird. Basically - rom hacks are still safe for the most part, and there hasn't been another takedown recently - not even for Super Ocarina of Time 64. The patch has copyrighted content for sure, and the hack has also had tons of attention. The creator has even had legal action taken against him for Super Mario 64 Online for containing the SM64 name, causing him to just name it Net64. So it's lucky for us that ROM hacks are largely untouched territory.

@@Evilriku13 idk man, with romhacks around I don't feel the need to buy any new Pokemon games. Clover 1.0 came out a month ago and it boasts more content than pretty much any other Pokemon game. Not like Pokemon sales are ever going to be bad, though. SwSh had so much hate and yet it's, like, the bestselling Pokemon game in 10 years or something? Nothing can stop them, not even actual good games.

This is a really well done fan game. Nintendo wishes it could make as cool of content as this Fan Game made. And honestly the game makes no profit, so it's not exactly hurting Nintendo. This is probably one of the Pokemon fan games that literally has not made money off of any of it. They should look more through Amazon or Ebay to find the main thieves that are stealing a profit from making fan games or using Nintendo's properties. I still buy games from Nintendo even if I play fan games like this, so they should honestly chill out.

I must say I'll never understand an individual's obsession over a fan-made game and or rom hack. I love the official feeling of the actual games. And taking part in a journey that's canon. And I'll definitely never understand why people like fan made Pokemon.... But I must say. This game seems to have sparked a small bit of interest in me. Doesn't seem to be any fan made Pokemon, and the character customization is great. But honestly that's about it. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be getting back to playing Pokemon Emerald lol
