Mr Chidambaram is being a bit obtuse when he refers to his stint in the Home Ministry: he was sent there because Pranab Mukherji was pained at not being given the Finance portfolio and complained about it to Sonia Gandhi. Over a period of time, Mukherji practiced and developed what one might term “voodoo economics”- another way of statist controls and approaches in an administration that was making its hallmark in the country’s period of development through openness and fairplay . Surely Mr Chidambaram can’t forget how the Ambanis rose to power with Mukherjee’s largesse towards the late Dhirubhai which was the starting point for Dhirubhai’s meteoric rise ? Mr Pranab Mukherjee destroyed the economy and UPA 2 ended as a disaster.

He was a slipshod PM. His terrible mistakes were just too dangerous. 1 Sharmal shaikh meet saying that India is involved i Baluchistan. He should have been charged for breaking oath of office. 2. Inabilty to dismiss Hamid Ansari for act of treason in disclosing soft assets in Iran which got eliminated. Years of hard work of our sleuths was riuned. 3. Shameful inaction after 26/11. 4. Senseless utterances like minorities having first right over resources. He sowed seeds of divisiveness. As RBI chief oe Eco. Advisor his tenure was lack lustre. Only aim being remaining faithful to faulty policies of congress. Any credit for liberalsed policy is fallacios as he just implemented IMF diktats. It was proverbial hobson's choice to ensure financial suvival. THIS INVOLVED 20% DEVALUATION OF RUPEE AT ONE STROKE.
