I have always been intimidated at the thought of ever trying to make a batch of Kyphi incense. In watching your video series, I have learned so much! I cannot thank you enough! I am in the process of my first batch of Kyphi and I have 5 dry ingredients left! I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for dedicating your time and patience to this series. Your knowledge and insight speak volumes!!

Another suggestion to keep the kyphi from "blooming" (growing mold) would be rock salt. Imagine the rituals and baths you could use with the salt permeated with kyphi! I have some ritual bath salts that I have had literally for years. None of the ingredients have gone bad, and we are talking ten years?

@roottruth I love the offering part. It reminds me of how powerful and perfect things are on their own. And then you add them in with other things and they become something beautiful in a different way.

I’ve started making this. I’m on day 3. They have been a little sticky in this weather. I’m So excited though. I’ve been listening to each day videos while I have been crushing and mixing each corresponding ingredient. Meditating on each ingredient to get to know them better. I hope you are well and I hope we will see you again soon. Much love and respect.

The wet ingredients are mixed and then are left alone until after all the dry ingredients are mixed together. That's when I put the wet and dry together.

Loving the series so far! Ernie cracks me up! I think he may be the reason you are spending so much on ingredients- on the up side he is processing his own kyphi compound ;)

This is interesting. I've never heard of kyphi till I started watching these. Ha! I think Ernie thinks the frankincense is dog food 😃

Hi, do you use frankincense resin in larger chunks or do you always powder it? I only recently got into aromatherapy and to my surprize there are a lot channels on here spreading false information , since i found out: burning frankincense resin directly on charcoal of any kind, as soon as it comes in direct contact with the coal it produces burnt smell, so that is not the goal. I've tried a lot of methods, with fair results, but i am curious how you do it and what you use?

You could use a rough salsa grinder for the harder ingredients..

Love your videos I learn something new every time. Thank you for that. Was that an amethyst crystal ball?
@Smileystitches12 жыл бұрын
Are you mixing the powder in with the wet ingredients or are you mixing them separately?

@MsAbramelinWitch That dog ... I swear he is going to have as much Kyphi inside him as what is going into the container on my altar :)

Also if that tea towel was never washed either, then I can just imagine how much bacteria is built up in it. And you wonder why what you make gets mouldy fairly fast
@bennu5473 жыл бұрын
Maybe you shouldn’t let your dog lick the tools you’re gonna use to help avoid the final product from going mouldy. You know just a thought
