While Cloud is holding Aerith after she's killed by Sephiroth, the glitching indicates what is really happening (Aerith dead with blood) vs what Cloud sees (Aerith with her eyes open, without blood). His psyche is even more broken. He doesn't see Aerith as actually being dead. He can't/won't accept her death.

So there's Tifa's perspective when she first runs up to the alter, and it shows her seeing both versions of Aerith in that moment. One version with the blood from the wound, and the other with no blood at all. And it's important to know that Square deliberately shows that this is Tifa's first person perspective. So what does that mean? I have no idea lol. I figure it's likely one of two things. Either Tifa's slight mako poisoning from earlier is giving her a window into a separate timeline where Aerith survived, or the mako poisoning is giving her a window into Cloud's mind. All I really want from part 3 is for Square to explain why Tifa sees both outcomes from the mako glitching.

Trolls when Cloud sees Sephiroth: "He's alive" Trolls when Cloud sees Aerith: "She's dead. He's imagining her out of denial." Trolls when Tifa sees two Aeriths: "There's only one." Trolls when Zack wakes up alive: "..." Seph moved the party into the World Between Worlds where the black materia is, the OG game, where Aerith died. OG temple is in the southeast. Rebirth temple is in the north. Aerith is alive.

Cloud's the only one that entered the singularity and he even got a FLASHBACK - like the devs stated - of his OG speak in those glitches we see where he's holding aerith. It's true that he won't accept her death, but it's the same like zack, who didn't accept his fate and that's why he didn't die like biggs and created other worlds through his choices instead. There's a reason why they didn't show the members mourning her death, or any of the scenes where she died.

the rainbow affect though. much like the path when Zack chose what he was going to do. When Cloud clashed swords the same rainbow thing happened. Aerith IS alive in another timeline. Cloud saved her in that timeline and he was able to see it. And Sephiroth was speaking DIRECTLY to Aerith when he said "I underestimated you."

Tifa who might have acquired some Weapon abilities looks to be picking up on these illusions too now. But if Cloud comes to believe that he led Sephiroth to Aerith, the same way he feels he led Sephiroth to his mother, Tifa, and his hometown, he won't want to believe he's real. Sephiroth couldn't get Cloud to kill either one of them and break entirely, but he doesn't need to.

"She's talking like she is going to die, but I don't think she will." me knowing the heartbreak at 13 years old back in 97🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 She's alive in the lifestream just like the original game. Her "second home". It is why you hear the lifestream motif plays when she reappears to Cloud when they are sitting around after the last battle. Cloud only sees her because of his mako poisoning. Sephiroth said it "You can't see the truth with such clouded eyes." Red XIII is in-tune with the lifestream and feels her presence as well but can't see her.

I have been emotionally drained these past few days after the ending but now a part of me feels happy seeing Cloud successfully blocks Sephiroth's attack. Cloud seeing Aerith open her eyes and he is happy and smiling having saved her is what gets me going towards looking forward to part 3 even if her death happened in our timeline regardless.

In the og the reactions depend on who you have in your party at the time. Example, if you have Tifa and Barret with you for the fight, you see them 2 react to Aerith. Imo Yuffie's reaction was the saddest. She tried to say goodbye the traditional Wutai way but she couldn't take it and broke broke down.

I think they are playing off that Aerith returned to the planet in the mako lifestream. Cloud was experimented on by Hojo with massive amounts of mako for years. Thats why he feels like so many other people are inside of him and why he can still see Zack and Aerith. All that mako has him connected to all the lives in it.Also why Sephiroth has such a strong influence on Cloud. just a thought...

Sephiroth has a strong influence on Cloud because Cloud was injected with the same genes as Sephiroth. He’s literally the closest Sephiroth Clone unlike the others before.

Its up to the player who she loves though. There is no official route for who Aerith loves. If you romance her they love each other. If you romance Tifa or Yuffie they stay very good friends.

@@Cenkolino Canon date with kiss is with Tifa, in fact the others dates including Aerith doesnt contradict it. In original Game there was a love history between Cloud and Aerith,short and platonic that couldnt develop, but in Rebirth they have changes this. The date and conversation in the other world puta that clear..english translation isnt very accurate, but before Aerith says the "now at last I know where you and I stand" Cloud says "Thats what friends do" , then she says the liking and LIKING thing..and hugs him as a friend.

@@lotus2001 The dates arent optional but complementary,thats why they let you see them all later on and you can in fact have two in the game. No date contradicts any other, im fact in most you get complementary info. And One date ends in kiss, and the others ends without kiss or love with Aerith just saying she wants to know the real Cloud....as she says at the end of the Game, because she knoes something is really bad inside him abd he has a fake personality.

Hi! You fell bad for zack but about Aerith and cloud? about what they want. In the end they fall in love and fate separates them. ff7 is about loss and learning to live with it. That's why Aerith tells him in the remake, don't fall in love with me. and she puts his hand on her face, the same gesture when she dies in his arms and comforts him. 💔

I love Zack after knowing after knowing his first love has feeling for his best friend he still chose to be supportive 😭❤Also I am kind of confused didn't Elmyra or Marlene said anything about Zack after they woke up? or did they woke up without anyone around? I am mad how Biggs was handled. I need Zack to have his own support squad my boy is losing companion left right and center. Its just me but when Zack woke up in the church, the church looks slightly different? maybe he is in a different timeline now but I could also be in denial. I noticed inthe end before everyone boarded Cid plane, when Barrett talks to Cloud 1:15:12 he checks on Tifa first before saying he trusts Cloud and I think its a great detail especially after he has witnessed Cloud losing it a couple of times but chooses to trust him. You are suuper right Cloud is in denial. I thought it was odd how light he took it when everyone was mourning but he is the only one seeing Aerith and kind of ironic how he said not to look at the sky and its an illusion when he is the only one seeing it, its like he does not understand the others are not witnessing the same things as him, well it makes sense when the 3rd game is coming out. Sorry for the loong comment, the video is enjoayable long and I felt everything you felt. I like that I get to cheer with you in the same moments and getting confused together ❤❤

You see how reality changed once the group arrived? All their rage and sorrow actually prevented Cloud from saving Aerith. Since negative emotions are far stronger than positive ones (According to Sephiroth) the reality where Sephiroth killed Aerith was succeeding. Cloud actually saved Aerith yet it wasnt enough since Sephiroth has too much power now since he can alter reality itself. And thats why Tifa (Who has a connection to the lifestream thanks to the Weapon) could see Aerith both dead and alive. But the negative motions outweigh in the end and her death manifests as reality.
