Selina idk if you'll see this (it's from 8 months ago lmao) but I definitely second bodyline! It's a good way to start building a wardrobe when you're in love with the fashion but strapped on cash or you come from a lower income background. You can also frequent Lacemarket because occasionally there are good deals on older brands dresses being sold or ones with minimal/fixable damage that still get marked down. Or if you want to invest in both lolita -and- a new hobby, you can try your hand at some of the tutorials online or Otome no Sewing mooks if you have the patience for translating the instructions (there are sites that list common Japanese sewing terminology too.) Lolita fashion is actually how I got into sewing, it's a handy skill even if you're just self-taught for the time being! The fashion can be really pricey but I hate seeing people get discouraged by that alone because I definitely do know that the spirit of DIY in Lolita can be very strong!
