I see no surprises. This is a great example of 'you get what you pay for'. At the low end pricing there just isn't room for hardened steel plate or bushings, top quality fasteners, etc. And even on higher end imported tractors, no use of metal prep or primer under the paint, with failure and peeling a few years from new.

Exactly. This was an experiment on my side, to see what you actually can get for this amount of money, and it's what you'd expect.

I like that machine. I'd like to get one myself and plan on having to fix it and improve it. that will be half the fun of it.

As long as you know what you're getting then that's a great idea. As I'm renting this one out I need something a bit more reliable though. Thanks for watching!

If you put a solar panel on the canopy and a simple charge controller. Your battery would charge so long as it's parked in the sun . Also. Putting a deep cycle battery in it might help . Larger plates . I don't know how much area you have overhead. But a second panel mounted vertically behind your seat, would add some shade and power .

Thanks for the feedback but the machine isn't really worth the effort. This is also a rental unit so the fewer things there is that can go wrong for the customer the better.

I have a VERY similar machine from a U.S. importer of Chinese equipment. The quality issues are similar as well (although the track tension adjustment isn’t so bad). The bottom line is that it was the only thing small enough and affordable for my needs, and I can accept that I will need to repair/improve it often. Luckily, I don’t do any precision work or rent it out. Good luck finding a better one to buy.

Hi Scott! Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback. My machine is still usable for less precise work - like you use your machine - it's simply very obvious that you get what you pay for. I did buy this one as a test so I'm not especially upset. Good luck with your machine. :)

Hi, thanks for the posting. I am in the process getting an electric version instead. Hopefully, quality gets better. Can you get better quality pins to replace the bad one? Also, can you mount the digging bucket facing up, to use as a scoop instead of digging? Thanks

Hello ,yeah there great small machines but you have to fix them regularly which isn't a problem if your a mechanic . I'm sure you will fix all the issues in time .Great video keep posting.

Very true. if you aren't afraid of tinkering with them and spending some time improving things that aren't great you can get a lot done for very little money. Thanks for watching!

Great video. Picking the fight manufacturer is very important. Did yours come from Shandong Nuoman Engineering Company?

Hi Ty. Yes it did. It was extremely cheap, but you get what you pay for as with everything. Thanks for watching!

They are not real manufacturer. They are a reseller, buying from cost cutting manufacturer. I got mine from a small but real manufacturer who can custom build my order. If you want the best Chinese. Get XN/Rhinoceros

Nuoman does do a little bit of manufacturing, but mostly reselling. If you want best Chinese mini ex, it's Rhinoceros. If you want cheap decent unit, Ants miniexcavator06@ants-cn.com

I do like that there are very cheap options out there for people that cannot afford a high end machine. Beats the heck out of a shovel!! Good way to cut your teeth on some basic machine repair!!

Sigh. You swing the boom and raise one side of the machine to get tracks off the ground to adjust tracks. It's the same with all excavators, big or small. You've got waaaay too much grease everywhere - wipe it off or it will attract dust/dirt and ruin your pins. Tolerances aren't great, but dangle drills are notorious for 'walking'. You simply have to learn the foibles of each machine to compensate. Paint on any muffler will burn off. As for Imperial/Metric, that's a bit strange. Think most of your problem was buying from a complete no-name manufacturer to save a bit of money. Even in China, there's a quality difference. Usually, the newest/smallest entrants build the crappiest machines and sell at the absolute lowest prices to attract cheapskate/clueless customers.

You should contact the manufacturer and share your modifications. And suggestions. You clearly have some marbles bumping.

I've never heard that expression before, but I'm going to assume it's a positive one. 😁 I was going to but I think their strategy is to sell cheap machines in bulk so in the end I decided not to bother.

Why are you not manufacturing these? You seem to know how poorly these are built, you can surely manufacture, market and make such a superior product at the same or lesser of a price.
